Impeachment proceedings taking longer than anticipated

Personally, I think impeachment will happen based on Trump having asked the president of Ukraine to interfere in the U.S. 2020 election(unless Trump resigns first - which I doubt will happen). The Senate may not vote to remove Trump, but the House will do the right thing and impeach Trump.

He simply asked the President to carry out a criminal investigation. No crime there

Well then, they should stop messing around and just do it. They need to follow precedent and have a full house vote in order to proceed. It's time to stop these Soviet style tactics of secret proceedings that are now being led by the Democrats and allow the President his due process rights. Enough already.

You are mistaken though, the President never asked the Ukrainians to interfere in the 2020 elections, that was something Hillary and her fellow travelers did in 2016.

About the person who he thought would be his rival in the 2020 general election. A lot of Trump supporters would want to impeach President Obama for much less.

Ken, the DNC does not want to go down in the HALL OF SHAME.
The general feeling of the public (53% oppose, 43% agree) now is to not impeach.

What the DNC fears is if they go ahead with this sham it will become an historical albatross around their neck now and into perpetuity as a laughing stock.

I am an independent (small "i") but I once was a JFK Democrat.
What my old party people need desperately, desperately is to get off the hate Trump horse and debate the true issues.
All they need to do is wait one more generation for the snowflakes to come into their own and take over (unless there is the Return of the LORD).

I am totally disappointed with the RNC - sound asleep at the helm.

Does anyone know where Barr HAS GONE!? Did he quit or what!?

Uh Obama did much more, (even if the claim against Trump were true) and no one tried to impeach him. You are just throwing explosive statements out there cuz you can. Nothing more.

It's not a crime. It's perfectly legal.

It is a betrayal of our founding principles.

“The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible.” - George Washington in his Farewell Address

It's about a criminal investigation on foreign soil.
What crime did Trump commit? Not adhering to George Washington's wishes is not a crime.

Sounds like an old poll from two or three months ago. You might want to look up a newer one.
Actually the polls are not of prime importance even if the algorithms were honest.

The fickle lady of the passage of time can be a curse. Look what's happening to the statues of Robert E Lee.
what legacy will a democrat congress leave behind with an impeachment? Who knows - DANGER WILL ROBINSON!
