Interracial relationships

a few days ago i was asked why i thought interracial dating was wrong my awnser was because the bible says it's wrong. What i did not know is that the verse i had used was only talkin about non-belivers. now my personal preferences is to date white girls because i am white, and i still will not date outside my race. And my kids if the lord blesses me with any will be taught that way as well, why you ask because that is the way i was raised and i feel "personally" that it is wrong. I hope i have not offended anyone with this post and i hope that all see that i am saying that it's not right for "ME" to date outside my race.. This is how i belive and let me irredirate myself i am not saying it's wrong for everyone......

You may be confusing "personally wrong" with "personal preference".

There's nothing wrong with a persons preferring a certain ethnicity when dating, but a person's racial makeup is just one part of many things that makes up a person. I wouldn't berate anyone who prefers a certain race any more than I would berate a person who prefers to date tall people, etc.

Now, if you're talking about friends, that would be different. We should not choose out friends based on their physical appearance. We should no more choose a friend because of race than we should choose a friend becaise of their height, or weight, etc etc.

Anyhoo, I don't understand what "personally wrong" means. Hence my comment about confusing it with personal preferences.

Dr. Bob already broke off with the Acts 17 passage. There is only 1 human race. All other attitudes are wrong.

I have a problem with you calling anyone part of another race. I have a "mixture" of most of Europe (to my knowledge), some indian, etc. What race am I?

Hmmmm...I guess it would be ok to agree to disagree...as far as reference to the deep south..I don't know if that affects people or not...I don't use it for my reasoning against interacial marriages. I would suppose it would be according to how the individual reads and interprets the scripture...But this one thing you can be sure of...you'll hardly find two people who agree on interpretation of the scripture.
I personally won't perform an interacial ceremony but it's not a discriminatory faction...and there are many blacks in this area that feel the same way.I believe this though...all the disputing and disagreeing in the world is not going to make us all believe the same on this and many other subjects...Baptist or not.

There isn't anything more people like to do around here than to take part in a discussion where they can share their opposing ideas of a subject or topic. They are developed traits. After so many generations, bodies will adapt to its surroundings. For the life of me I can never remember where I read this, but if the average white couple moved to say Africa, after a certain number of generations, the pigment will get darker.

Remember, Adam and Eve were one. At Babel, God spread the people out. After that, they developed traits in their bodies makeup.

Now, that is just scientific stuff that is meaningless in the interpretation. You have to deal with Acts 17, not me.

I don't do that. i will not date or marry a spainish girl, oriental,or even russian or german. It's not about black and white with me. I have strong standards when lookin for a mate, therefore, i will not compromise my standards. i am worth more than that...

I could be wrong, but It seems like at the tower of babalon, God made people different races and different languages, but it does not say what races or who came first.
I was always taught that it was wrong, but I've never seen it in writing. The only problem that I have with it is how it is a decision that you can never turn back from.
My siter-in-law has a black husband and 4 mixed children, race comes up in their life every day, in everyway. I would hate to have to think about my race on a daily basis.

Being attracted to certain qualities or certain looks is a lot different from racism. I am not attracted to obese men or very tall and skinny men. I'm not attracted to loud and angry men either. Just because a man is not attracted to a black woman does not mean he's racist, but it's a personal preference. Gosh, some men like heavy women and find me ugly because I'm thin.

You should quite a bit like some paternal aunts I used to have (they're dead now) who looked upon me and my brother as "mixed-race" children. My mother is full-blood Austrian for many generations and my father's family is a mongrel mix of white European ancestry. I was somehow considered inferior because my mother wasn't born in the U.S. even though her bloodline is much purer than most Americans. And yet, they didn't seem to worry about mixing the bloodlines when they or their children married -- anyone who was white was fine.

The funny thing is that my skin is whiter than all of them.

Racial prejudice is foolish.

I would suggest that you are worth more than to have a set of standards that have no basis. Your children will definitely be worth more than that.
