Did not catch. Jimmy was a disappointment to Christians though. His faith never impacted his politics. Never fought for the moral issues of our day, in fact he fought against them. Kind of a sad story, because he really could have made a difference.

I would say that the Carter presidency was proof of the fallacy of so many “never trumpers” using the excuse of his (Trump) character to NOT VOTE. (The lesser of two evils is still evil!?!?!?)

Carter’s Christianity did squat for the morals of the country, and, IMHO, an atheist could have performed exactly as Carter, w/no difference in outcome save for the “CHRISTIAN” phrases he threw out during interviews.

Carter a Christian??? Dunno, but judging by his verbage, yes; but by his politics, no!!

Totally agree. Carter is one reason a candidate's Christianity doesn't mean anything to me. Your policies are what shed light on your character and affirm or condemn you. I suppose something extreme like murder or rape would deter me (Clintons come to mind), but ultimately, it's what you do with your authority that helps me asses your character. If you talk the talk, but don't walk the walk, your faith is kind of dead. Someone famous said that.

Jimmy Carter took a lot of money from some strange people in the Arab world to fund his library and he speaks against Israel a lot but the medicine that saved his life was discovered by Israeli research if you like that kind of humor. I think that he was once SBC but dropped out and now is just sort of a liberal Christian. He went to Williamstown, Kentucky, to the Ark Encounter because a board member of Habitat for Humanity was also a board member for Answers In Genesis (AiG) or the Ark Encounter and Carter was persuaded to visit the Ark as it neared competition. He was warmly welcomed and is featured in AiG videos but Ken Ham has said that the former US President does not believe in a young earth creation.

Carter is cordial nowadays but his term in office was marred by interest rates approaching twenty percent, high inflation, and high unemployment. Under his administration, the rust belt became the rust belt and never recovered, although I don't blame Carter for the loss of industrial capacity and the transfer to the so-called service economy. Mostly his term was marred by the Iran hostage crisis, brought about by Carter's choice of the Islamists over the American-friendly Shah of Iran. The Persian people used to like Americans.

The ABC movement--Anybody But Carter--recognized Carter's liberalism but the American people turned their backs on Gerald Ford for pardoning Nixon, something that was right and something that had to be done. Carter's weak presidency led to the election of Reagan, who soon made people feel more hopeful and Carter was forgotten. Reagan said that Carter was the first man to go from being President of the United States to being nothing.

I feel sorry for Carter now and wish him well. He was a better President than Obama or Clinton.

Jimmy Carter is a genuine Christian who has lived and governed relying on his faith. he is not a Republican so he doesn't share your Republican/Christian religion which you need to examine.

I feel that Carter has done a great deal of good in his life. He was a far better President than GW Bush and certainly far superior to Trump.

He lost his title of worst president ever to Obama. I wonder how he feels about that?

"Being history’s most admired ex-president is like being the most beloved former skipper of a torpedoed aircraft carrier. If the ship sank while you were at the helm, it doesn’t really matter what a great job you did manning the inflatable lifeboat afterward."

He's not your brand of Christianity which is so dependent on politics it's unrecognizable as the true faith. That's for certain.

60 million murdered babies. Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the Supreme Court. Carter is a false Christian. Plain and simple.
A Republican Supreme Court ruled on Roe vs. Wade and the Republican Party has done NOTHING in 45 years to reverse it. YOU are responsible for those 60 million deaths.

Actually, Trump has been good on the economy and on trying to prevent nuclear war. The Democrats are a party of old rich white guys who run everything.
That's ridiculous on all counts. Trump has done nothing to improve the economy. In fact his tariff threat may start a deadly trade war like the one that preceded the Great Depression. Stop nuclear war? he seems to trying very hard to start one. The Republican party has been the party for the rich since WW1. Get real. They want to cut programs the poor desperately need to cut taxes for the rich. That's been their objective ever since Reagan.

Carter was and is a very kind man. He is a sincere man. I have talked to him and been in the Sunday School class he taught. He is theologically ultra liberal. Only God knows, but I seriously question his salvation. He holds absolutely no moral absolutes.

Big business is all Democrat now-you yourself are an example. Hollywood and Silicon Valley are all leftist strongholds with deep pockets. And then you have communists like Soros. No, the Democrats are the party of old white people who call themselves gentry in the cities and who are rich. The plantation owners were rich Democrats so nothing has changed.
