Iowa Democratic Caucuses

Iowa was a trial run for the Nov 2020

Its what happens in Banana Republics

Barr needs to jump on it now

Caucuses are controlled by the Iowa Democratic Party (translated: incompetent people), so the last thing Barr needs to do is jump into that mess. It would look like a blatant political hit job.

Trump's going to win handily this November, and I don't see any Democrat with any chance to stop him. Sanders will probably win the nomination, and he'll pick a non-white woman with similarly extreme views to be his VP candidate. The DNC will have tried and failed to stop him from winning the nomination, and the Democrats won't have the fervor needed to beat Trump. Most Americans won't want to elect a socialist, so most swing voters will go to Trump, even if they aren't big fans of him.

If somehow Bernie loses the nomination, many of his supporters will stay home, and the energy on the left will go flat. Then Trump wins.

With or without Bernie, Trump wins.

If there are voting irregularities in Iowa this fall, then the administration can investigate after the fact. At that point, it won't look meddling in the election because they will have already won.

The election is not going to hinge on Iowa. Trump is going to win by a larger electoral vote margin, and I think he will probably win the popular vote as well.

I'll add one more thought---

All Trump really has to do is to sit back and watch the Democrats sink themselves. For the last several years, I've said that Democrats are allergic to victory, and, wow, it's definitely showing now!

Important thing will be republicans regaining the House, for if Dems hold it, another 4more years of nothing but trying to Impeach trump!

They would do so at their peril. Impeachment has backfired. If anything, it would help Republicans if Democrats tried to go to the impeachment well again. That would make the Dems seem even more extreme, and Republicans would cash in on that repeated mistake big time.

(This assumes that President Trump doesn't do something legitimately impeachable. Hopefully he won't, but if he does something so bad that even Republicans would turn on him, all bets are off. I highly, highly doubt that would happen, though.)

What really matters is for the GOP to hold the Senate (which I expect to happen). With the Senate, the courts can be filled with conservative judges, and, if an opening on SCOTUS occurs, it can be filled with a conservative.

If trump wins again, there should be 2 Judge seats opening up!

Totally disagree. Election is up for grabs. Penn and Florida are mist haves and voter fraud rampant.

The dems were doing a trial run to see what happens in Nov.

The state of Iowa Dems prevented the Fed Dems feom taking the election by posting on Twitter

The Iowa Democratic Party doesn't control the actual elections, though, and the governor of Iowa is a Republican.

This debacle had more to do with the significant flaws of the idiotic caucus system, which needs to be thrown in the trash.

Assuming the Democrats dont do something illegal again, Trump will have a LANDSLIDE WIN - the sleepy Republicans will have to wake up and do some honest work as they will win back the house.

A new Trump will be groomed for 2024 probably Junior.

I would be absolutely shocked if it were Pence. There are too many ambitious Republicans out there.

he would be tapping that large and solid Christian and conservative base, and would be seen as being a loyal soldier for Trump!

Being a loyal soldier for Trump? That's most of the Republican party at this point. And many people could check the boxes for evangelicals.

IMO, the only way Pence could win is with Trump's early endorsement, and I'm not sure he'd endorse him. It could be similar to the Obama-Biden situation.

That would be a pretty good test to see just how solid Trump really is on his stated positions, for if pense gets his approval to run, would get a big sign!

Seriously, Sportzz Fanzz, would this nation elect an openly-gay POTUS ? His win in a caucus makes the already-chaotic Dem situation more outta order.

The Dems simply don't have their starting lineup on the field for POTUS.

And, just as there was a large voter backlash on the GOP fir impeaching Clinton, there'll be a bigger one against the Dems over impeaching Trump, as it's closer to the election than the Clinton affair was. And we might as well be prepared any time we turn on a TV or radio from now til November to hear some GOP rhetoric against the Dems' huge waste of OUR $$ on this impeachment.

And the Dem strategy of revealing more material against Trump will blow up in their faces. Most voters will ask, ""WHY WAS THIS STUFF NOT BROUGHT UP WHEN THE ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT WERE DRAWN UP ????????????""

Maybe "The Squad" will all be voted out, some, even in the Dem primaries. But the GOP's chances for taking back the House & firming up their Senate majority (as well as keeping POTUS) loox mighty good right now !

It's clear to me what happened. The election didn't go the way they wanted to they are trying to cast doubts. They WANT there to be doubt in my opinion. THey don't want to legitimize the "lesser" candidates.

Pocahontas? That's actually what I expect, but it won't occur until she drops out of the race after poor performance in the primaries. Then Bernie will pick her up like a fumbled football and run with it.
