But the statistics are virtually the same.

You are used to thiese kinds of polls being quoted in the worst possibl light and when you run up against one that takes the opposite approach with the same numbers, your prejudices are exposed for all to see. So you must somehow discredit poll numbers that you believe are accurate.

I'd hate to be in that position.

The whole poll is a sham according to the facts on the ground. 2 million Iraqi's fled the country, 600,000 are homeless and more are leaving and being made homeless everyday. That's out of a country of about 24 million. And that's only scratching the surface of the statistics.

But just look at the numbers on the poll. That's all you have to do. Ignore the spin, the numbers don't say what you are saying.

Here's some more of that proof you've been whining to get, and you are too biased to see it.

The poll of 2,212 people from across Iraq suggests an increasing pessimism and feeling of insecurity since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

In 2005, democratic elections were taking place and many Iraqis thought things were better than before the 2003 conflict and were hopeful about the future.

Much pessimism appears to stem from the fact that life is not noticeably improving for many people with rising dissatisfaction about the availability of jobs, clean water, electricity and the freedom to choose where to live without persecution.

See a breakdown of how people rate their living conditions.
Some Iraqis blame their politicians for the situation - 53% were dissatisfied with the way the Iraqi government was performing, compared with 33% in 2005.

Since the end of the war in Iraq, thousands of civilians have died in violence on the streets. Support for the coalition forces based in Iraq is low - with 82% expressing a lack of confidence in them and 69% thinking they had made the security situation worse.

Those polled were split as to whether attacks on coalition forces were acceptable - but a majority still believe they should remain in the country until security is restored.

In ethnic terms, Sunnis were more eager for troops to leave - with 55% saying they should leave now compared to 28% of Shia respondents.

The belief that the US-led coalition was wrong to have invaded Iraq in 2003 has steadily increased since 2004.

Only 2% of Sunnis questioned believed it was absolutely or somewhat right to have invaded, while 78% said it was absolutely wrong. By comparison, 70% of Shia respondents said the decision to invade Saddam Hussein's Iraq was absolutely or somewhat right.

Security remains a key concern. Asked whether they felt safe in their own neighbourhoods, 40% said yes in 2004, 63% in 2005 but only 26% in 2007.

Yes, they do,

I understand how difficult it is to make one poll sound better than the other when the numbers and results are virtually the same.

Keep trying. You'll get it.

Jack, you have proven your point, Carpro is just doing what he always does by trying to confuse the evidence that you have presented in trying to make it appear that it actually coincides with his, but we know better.

I heard that awful rumor too!

I don't hate anybody at all, ask Cisco he'll vouch for me. ;)

Why are you asking me a trick question like that, I thought we were pards?

George Bush may hold the office of president of the United States but he doesn't represent the United States. He represents the "international community". You remember...his dad's glorious New World Order that "is coming in to view for the first time".

Apparently there's still about thirty percent of the population of the U.S. that hasn't caught a glimpse of it yet though, for whatever reason.

I just needed to ask that question for clarification , not for my benifit but for someone elses benifit.
Oh and we is still Pards.
At least the 30 Percenters will have George Bush for another two years(Oops. I hope that didn't sound hateful), it will be interesting to see what role he plays in politics after that.

It doesn't benefit anyone to hate anyone. The 30 percenters can't even begin to understand that after being conditioned to hate and fear liberals and muslims for so long. I guess the tought of throwing off those old comfortable chains they've learned to rely on for false securities scares them.
