    It's absolutely inconsistent. But that's a topic for another thread. And if you say religionist, I stay with the Bible. If that makes me a religionist then I wear it with a badge of honor.

    It's a shame that there are no concise instructions in the NT on HOW to Baptize. Something that has proven to be sooo divisive among Christians you'd think there'd be sound instructions. If I were to want to know how to properly perform a trespass offering, or a burnt offering, or a peace offering, or to build an ark like Moses built, or even one like Noah built, I can find from the scriptures precise instructions on how to do it. But water baptism? Not.

    15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
    33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, immediately. Acts 16

    There is a case to be made that children were included in in some of these baptisms.

    Don't you religionists insist on sound direction from the scripture? Where are your instructions on how to properly water baptize?

    I know I'm a little new but I consider myself an Anabaptist by definition, even if I shed the Mennonite garb, so baptism is a relevant point for me.

    I don't mind.

    It would be relevant if you considered what anabaptist (meaning rebaptizer) is.

    The commenters here are not at fault. That is why I asked about another denomination I didn't know about. Theological differences.

    The ARP and the OP mirror the PCA. They are more so better in most cases since they do not allow some of the issues to surface than the PCA. Ex: women preaching, the so called worship wars and LGBT issues

    But didn't these baptisms follow the preaching of the gospel? Would it be a safe assumption that all who were baptized did so because they have believed?

    We don't know that to be a fact, and, there's no instruction NOT to Baptize kids, And please, don't get me wrong, I'm NOT advocating for pedo-Baptism.

    You're right there is no prohibition against it outright. But in the context of all baptisms in the bible a profession of faith is made prior to, or at least implied with the preaching of the gospel.
