Is it just my imagination, or are many folks here hostile to people who read the KJV?

Just another new member who can see the bias on this forum, that those who are "good ole boys" can't, or deny! It has nothing to do with KJVO, or not..........it's your ATTITUDE toward other Christians that stinks, and is an offense to God, whether they are KJVO or not! I find some of the "reasoning" for your MV arguments to be laughable, but I would not treat you the way KJVO people are treated.

I agree with one point - there is a strong bias expressed in some of the posts in this forum and there is a deplorable attitude to others expressed by some here as well.

I think this sums it up and it something perhaps you, Sal, Askjo, Matthew and others don't get. It's not primarily about you preferring the KJV or believing the KJV is the best translation. It is about your attitude towards other Christians who believe there are other options. Your side treats us all too often as if we don't believe the Bible, or believe the Bible has errors in it, or isn't inspired or some such. You attack us because we talk about truth and belief that truth is worth defending.

I think a lot here agree with me when I say that I don't care what version you use. Live by it. I do care when you attack the Word of God or other believers who love the Word as much as you do. That's more significant. I do believe it is an offense to God.

Why do some have to be so oversensitive? Goodness, this is a debate forum and if someone disagrees with your position they are going to let you know. Yes, the insults could be less, but when you are dealing with people who like to debate that's going to happen.

No, one side doesn't seem to call it a defense - BOTH sides do.

The KJVOs among us talk about defending the word of God (the KJVs) while non-KJVOs talk about defending the word of God in its various translations. KJVOs defend a non-scriptural, man-made teaching about a particular translation of God's word while non-KJVOs defend God's word against the false attacks made on it by KJVOs.

I have never had to snip a post where a poster called the KJV a 'perversion,' a 'corruption,' or a 'false Bible.' It doesn't happen.

I have repeatedly had to snip posters who refer to other versions that way.

There's a huge difference in attacking a particular Bible translation and/or those who use that translation and attacking a false teaching about a particular Bible translation. The animosity here is toward a false, man-made teaching about the KJVs - not toward the KJVs and those who use them.

KJVOs, especially the extremist KJVOs who post here and at other web sites, take every opportunity they can to bash modern translations and those who use them. On the other hand, non-KJVOs defend the word of God in its various translations against attacks by the KJVOs. I'm about as anti-KJVO as it gets, but one of the KJVs is among the Bible translations I use most frequently. You bet I'm anti-KJVO! But I'm not anti-KJV at all! If I was against people who use the KJVs, I'd have to be against myself, too.

The true attacks against the word of God are made by KJVOs. I've never seen anyone who is anti-KJVO attack the word of God in any translation (with the exception of a few "translations" created so cults like the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Mormons and the Seventh-Day Adventists can have "scripture" that agrees with their errant teachings).

There are indeed some posters who regularly personally attack anyone who does not agree with their KJVO position by casting doubt on their faith in the word of God.

Tim, with all due respect, the unsaved in the bible were spiritually blind. B4L is not saying that C4K is spiritually blind, but blind to the discrimination that he sees on the BB against KJVO or KJVP.

He did not attack C4K's salvation or his spirituality.
