As much as I hate to say it, there seems to be a political hidden agenda with this CIA report release. Time will prove me right or wrong, but what say you? Is Obama behind this entire thing, or it a Barbara Feinstein temper tantrum because she was under the microscope of the CIA?
One more question on this uproar: Is this another attempt by Obama to humiliate America by making another transparent apology for this nation's arrogance and overstep of power? And will it hurt us more than help, as madam Barbara so powerfully said?
A few thoughts:
1. It's Dianne Feinstein, not Barbara. You might've mixed up her name with Barbara Boxer.
2. Like you, I find the timing of the release of this report is very much suspect. With the Democrats being recently handed one of the worst political defeats in recent memory, it's not surprising that some of them would lash out at Republicans. Madeline Albright has stated, albeit somewhat jokingly, that the Democrats, particularly the Obama Administration, would blame Bush "forever."
3. The fear I have is what repercussions this move will draw. Just how many lives lost is it worth to score political points against the GOP?

Should we (as Christians) accept human rights violations (according to the Geneva Convention and UN treaties we signed) as part of our national heritage now because we don't want Obama to make Bush look bad?
It's a sad truth of American politics that both parties will go out of their way to slander the other party, regardless the cost. One thing to consider is the moving goal post that is "human rights violations." There's been a case recently of a Muslim man being thrown in jail, and the jail requires either clean shaven or closely-groomed beards. The Muslim man has a long, thick beard, as common in his religion. Per the regulations, he should shave. A case is being made against the prison that requiring him to shave is somehow a "human rights violation." It's a fine line that we all have to walk like a tightrope.
