Is there a final authority?

if I remember correctly, he didn't think Jesus read the bible in Greek.
Probably in Hebrew.

Cloud also said the original language in the Garden of Eden was Hebrew, as many of the play on words in Genesis only work in Hebrew.
Two points:

#1. Avoid Cloud.

#2. Some form of a Proto-Hebraic language was probably the language of the Garden, and that language was preserved through the Babel experience. But the spoken language of the Post-exile prophets was a from of Aramaic written with Hebrew orthography. Many of those Aramaic words have made their way into the New Testament, including but not limited to: Talitha cum = “Little girl, get up!” Ephphatha meaning “Be opened.” Abba meaning “Father.” Raca meaning “fool.” Rabbouni meaning “teacher.” Eli Eli lema sabachthani meaning “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Hosanna meaning “The Lord, saves us.” Maranatha meaning “Lord, come!”

I do. My paragraph about Zionism is describing it as a heresy.
That wasn’t my concern.

What caught my attention was the plan “B” thinking.

Holding the sovereignty of God would seem to prevent one from considering God would need a “plan b”.

Or am I mistaken.

The Holy Spirit is the final authority. He inspired the Bible. And speaks as a small, still voice to us.

Actually, He will direct us to Jesus, as His "job" is to glorify Him, and Jesus is our great Shepherd!
No doubt. But didn't Jesus say that the Holy Spirit would have authority to teach? He inspired the Bible, would teach, and bring back scriptures to our minds? Why isn't He the final authority?

Why isn't He the final authority?
He is. He inspired the Scriptures. Which are our supreme and final authority in all matters for faith, practice, and understanding.

That is one of the things that make us Baptists.

You are correct in this, its just that we have the Triune God Himself as the supreme authority, and He gave to us the written supreme authority, the Bible!
