I found this explains quite well about Israel and Jews.

We owe greatly to the Messianic Jews like Paul, Peter, John, and many, many more, and even our Lord Jesus was born as a Jew.

I would remember what Paul said in Romans 11:31.

Through your( Gentiles') mercy, they ( Israel) may obtain mercy.

Isn't it a time that our generation should recompense to Israel as much as they can ?

I'm glad you posted this. It's a good piece. Hamas, of course, and Fatah, are struggling for leadership in the areas erroneously called "Gaza" and "The West Bank" right now, so it needs an update in that regard. The info about the "Palestine" that never was is accurate. See Genesis 12 thru 15, 17, and other references to the land God gave to Israel. Rather than post all the scriptures here, see this link:

As to "shouldn't we be doing something," our President and his advisors have it all wrong with this "Roadmap for Peace," clearly a violation of God's plan for Israel. In the Oslo Accords Arafat's group was armed to the teeth and money began pouring in from the U.N., the E.U., and the USA. It was suspended for a time, but now we, regrettably, are sending it in again. Rest assured that in the 1,000 year reign of Christ Israel will own 300,000 square miles of the former "Middle East", with Jerusalem as earth's capital city.

Right now it is hell on earth, but, as we Christians say, we've read the end of the book. We win!

The curse Christ pronounced on the Jewish nation in Matt 23 is simply the same thing that Solomon predicted. This curse when fully realized shortly after the death of Christ abolished all "realestate" promises made to Israel. The 500 years of total absence from Palestine of any Jew shows the extent of that "reality".

I prefer to focus on Jews as the subjects of God's salvific work just as He gives that same focus to Gentiles. "No more slave or free, Jew or Gentile" when it comes to land grab, property rights, worldly goals and power. Rather "God is calling all men everywhere to repent".

The focus is salvation not nation-building for Israel.

I am glad that your brought the issue of Oslo Agreement. We shouldb't be cheated by such notion. No human made peace can sustain " The Promise of God " Israel will eventually realize that they are hopeless. The Pece Accord may declare Jerusalem as "the Internation City of Freedom and Peace" and the Relocation of Vatican to the Temple Mount. The current problem is that the most leaders of Israel are not trustworthy at the moment, and even what Simon Peres who is recently elected the president is doing is very much doubtful.
However, God will do His work and He will eventually materialize His promises. Even though we don't believe it, it will come true. Even though we don't help them, Israel wll win and stand victorious there. But in that case we will have no credit on that. If we help them as much as possible, there will be surely a good credit and reward for us.
In case of Israel, their salvation and conversion will be a nationwide scale as we read Zech 12. Currently, Israelites are converting in an individual scale but rapidly changing as we hear that there are about 600 messianic Jewish Congregations and Assemblies around North America. God works ! and He will save Israel

Zechariah 12:
7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. 8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.


Satan works very hard to prevent this prophecy from coming true.

Jesus said "you shall not see me agan until you say Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" - speaking of the Jews that day who would be raised to see Him at the 2nd coming. Satan will not be able to stop that.

Imagine what it will be like for them to see that the Messiah they rejected was in fact God the Son sent to save the entire world!

What a shock. What anguish of spirit.

They are NOT all Jews who are the children of Abraham.. it is the sons of the PROMISE not the sons of the FLESH in the NT. See Romans 9.

In Romans 11 we are told that BOTH Jews AND Gentiles are coming into the faith and "IN THIS WAY all Israel will be saved". ALL grafted into one tree according to Romans 11.

Now "come on" you had to know this truth would surface on a subject with this title -- surely that was the point of posting the thread - yes?

Matt 23 doesn't apply only to the Jews, but to any Hypocrites even among the Protestants.

If Jesus had come to Britain, would they have accepted Him?

If Jesus had come to Rome, would they have accepted Him?

What about to China or to Japan?

Maybe, they all would have killed Jesus even before He went to the hill to be crucified.

All of us went astray and are wicked. That's the human nature!

What if British people were in the wilderness, wouldn't they have been rebellious againt God?

It is we that have to embrace Israel, instead of condemning them as the killers of Messiah, because we ourselves are like that.

The young Church declared itself to be the true Israel, or "Israel according to the Spirit," heir to the divine promises. They found it essential to discredit the "Israel according to the flesh" to prove that God had cast away His people and transferred His love to the Christians."

First came the Gospel writings.

Matt 23 pronounces the devastating curse of Solomon on the Jews "Behold your house is being left to you desolate".

In Dan 9 it is predicted that they would fill their cup of iniquity - and as Paul points out in 1Thess 2 - they did that.

God is not "in the land grab realestate business any more" - today it is a full throttle gospel message -- not a land grab.

I know this may not be very popular - but let's do an exegetically precise review of Matt 23


Christ specifically identifies the Jews –

27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.
28 "So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.


29 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous,
30 and say, 'If we had been living in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.'
31 "So you testify against yourselves, that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.


Matt 23
32 "Fill up, then, the measure of the guilt of your fathers.
33 "You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?
34 "Therefore, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city,

Christ specifically states that the judgment against the Jews would occur within 1 generation.

Lament over Jerusalem


Matt 23
37 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.
38 "Behold, your house is being left to you desolate!
39 "For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'"


Christ concludes with the curse of Solomon in 1Kings 9

[b]1 Kings 9[/b]
6"But if you or your sons indeed turn away from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
7then [b]I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them, and the house which I have consecrated for My name, I will cast out of My sight[/b] So Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
8"And this house will become a heap of ruins; everyone who passes by will be astonished and hiss and say, 'Why has the LORD done thus to this land and to this house?'
9"And they will say, 'Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and adopted other gods and worshiped them and served them, therefore the LORD has brought all this adversity on them.'"

Indeed Hadrian cast out ALL Jews from Israel for 500 years. No more devastating termination to Israel had happened in all of time – until that day.

16 hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved; with the result that they always fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath has come upon them to the utmost.

So that to this very day – their temple is not rebuilt.
