If I drove "into" a theater I'd get a ticket. I'd rather drive thru! ;)

I worked in a fast food "restaurant" many years ago. No one ever drove IN the building or THRU the window.

At least Vista had a more creative name.
Didn't care much for the Vista mistake either.

Was once asked "of all the dates you've had, what was your favorite?"
    I replied "August 12th."

August 12, 1972: The day the last ground combat forces left Vietnam, leaving us poor schmucks in rotary wing to continue flying missions, supporting ARVN and getting shot at.

Insert off topic post here :)

TND, no matter how I feel about these wars today I have always admired the bravery and courage you guys showed during this conflict, especially when the ground troops left and you were there alone. I hate the way you were treated when you came home. My family was military and if things hadn't ended when they did I was on my way. I was just starting my ROTC stint when the war came to an end. I got a lot of hassle as an ROTC student so can't even imagine what you guys went through.

Thank for your courage and your willingness to serve when it must have seemed like the whole world was against you.

I will not be emotional ... I will not be emotional ... I will not ...

Oh, phooey! Thanks, C4K! Truly, words like those bring a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. I appreciate them very much, not for myself, but for the young men whose last ride home was in a flag-draped coffin, including my left seat. "This we will defend. Hoo-ah!"

    Tomorrow is Memorial Day.
I am a veteran, but this day is not about me. It is in remembrance of those men and women whose last ride home was in a flag-draped coffin.
They didn't die for a day off and a cookout. They payed the price for our freedom.
It now falls to us work and sacrifice so that we can hand a free nation to the next generation.
