Not half the mess on here.
So, you reject double predestination? No, for we hold that the Gospel is a real call made out to all of the lost, but that their rejection is not due to any deficit in God nor the Gospel, but in themselves!
Making a point. Calvinists on here actually disagree on many issues. When arguing against non-cals, you all come together and pretend to agree. It presents a supposedly unified argument that does nothing but confuse non-cals due to the fact you are saying five different things and pretending to say one. That is it?! That is your response? You are kidding me, right?
I dont see anything terrible about d.p. I see a Calvinist denying it as a logical fallacy.Guess many think that we calvinists all hold to the "terrible doctrine" of DP as Calvin held with!
listen to Matt Chandler and get back to me on that!!!!!!All calvinists hold to the primacy and supremacy of the scriptures. not vain philosophy!
I accept it as defined by Dr Sproul, not as by Calvin! So, you reject double predestination?
Calvin view on it was not majority one!I dont see anything terrible about d.p. I see a Calvinist denying it as a logical fallacy.
So does RC Sproul and John MacArthur if you understand what they were saying correctlyIcon opposes "double predestination".
It is a unique clip because it is an instance in which Macarthur owns instead of evading the term double predestination.
Really!Calvin view on it was not majority one!
I understand it correctly. They disagree with an extreme version of D.P. but embrace classic D.P.So does RC Sproul and John MacArthur if you understand what they were saying correctly
You not wanting to deal with the article on God loving the world, are you?So does RC Sproul and John MacArthur if you understand what they were saying correctly
I don't think you understand the link that you shed does not agree with you
I have no idea what article you're talkin about number one, and then number two I defend the historic confessional position which is infra lapsarianism. There are some Calvinists who will try to make a defense for supralapsarianism which is okay I looked at the view for a long time myself and it doesn't bother me at all but the mainstream hold the confectional view which is infra lapsarianismYou not wanting to deal with the article on God loving the world, are you?
Many of the links and the names of the people I mentioned are people I made it my business to get to know or the meet or have conversation with. I only mention the name because when I see someone make a false statement about the person or what they believe when I know firsthand that is not right then I mentioned the nameAs long as we are dropping names, I never even saw John MacArthur in person.
I did see Simon and Garfunkel live at their reunion concert in Central Park.![]()
I will post it again. Does God So Love the World? - Grace to You with John MacArthurI have no idea what article you're talkin about number one, and then number two I defend the historic confessional position which is infra lapsarianism. Are you suggesting that the mainstream view is double predestination? Reformed asked you to describe mainstream Calvinism and as far as I can tell you've not done that yet
You have met him one time? Two? You talked for how long? You know more about him than his own published words? You love to accuse people of telling lies. Many of the links and the names of the people I mentioned are people I made it my business to get to know or the meet or have conversation with. I was talking about John Macarthur. I have never mentioned Dr White. I have consistently talked about J.M.I
don't know what you're talkin about. I know dr. White I've talked to him several times 4 hours he preached at the church I was in five or six times I went to two or three of his debates on Long Island .
It would preach at other churches on Long Island and we would all go to see him we would stay for the fellowship times and we talk and joke and ask questions.
my kids know his kids my son used to joke that he was going to marry his daughter so you can say I don't know him if you want but you know to me it's just another cheap shot you're trying to take
Thank you for clarifying.Icon opposes "double predestination".
