No, for we hold that the Gospel is a real call made out to all of the lost, but that their rejection is not due to any deficit in God nor the Gospel, but in themselves!
So, you reject double predestination?

That is it?! That is your response? You are kidding me, right?
Making a point. Calvinists on here actually disagree on many issues. When arguing against non-cals, you all come together and pretend to agree. It presents a supposedly unified argument that does nothing but confuse non-cals due to the fact you are saying five different things and pretending to say one.

I consider Macarthur to be mainstream.

Icon opposes "double predestination".
It is a unique clip because it is an instance in which Macarthur owns instead of evading the term double predestination.
So does RC Sproul and John MacArthur if you understand what they were saying correctly
I don't think you understand the link that you shed does not agree with you

I understand it correctly. They disagree with an extreme version of D.P. but embrace classic D.P.
They disagree with an active reprobation, but they admit that reprobation is the unavoidable consequence of election.

You not wanting to deal with the article on God loving the world, are you?

I have no idea what article you're talkin about number one, and then number two I defend the historic confessional position which is infra lapsarianism. There are some Calvinists who will try to make a defense for supralapsarianism which is okay I looked at the view for a long time myself and it doesn't bother me at all but the mainstream hold the confectional view which is infra lapsarianism
Are you suggesting that the mainstream view is double predestination? Reformed asked you to describe mainstream Calvinism and as far as I can tell you've not done that yet

As long as we are dropping names, I never even saw John MacArthur in person. ;)
I did see Simon and Garfunkel live at their reunion concert in Central Park. :Cool
Many of the links and the names of the people I mentioned are people I made it my business to get to know or the meet or have conversation with. I only mention the name because when I see someone make a false statement about the person or what they believe when I know firsthand that is not right then I mentioned the name

You have met him one time? Two? You talked for how long? You know more about him than his own published words? You love to accuse people of telling lies.

I
don't know what you're talkin about. I know Dr.. White I've talked to him several times for hourshours he preached at the church I was in five or six times I went to two or three of his debates on Long Island .
He would preach at other churches on Long Island and we would all go to see him we would stay for the fellowship times and we talk and joke and ask questions.
my kids know his kids my son used to joke that he was going to marry his daughter so you can say I don't know him if you want but you know to me it's just another cheap shot you're trying to take

I was talking about John Macarthur. I have never mentioned Dr White. I have consistently talked about J.M.
