Jade Helm 15, Part II

The Jade Helm 15 military exercise that many conservatives figured to be Obama doing a dry run to take over the state of Texas, ban guns, and round up Tea Party members and sequester them in mysteriously closed Wal Marts ended in mid-September. Scratching my head here, but I take it that none of this conspiracy stuff happened.

Well, get ready for Jade Helm 15, the Sequel.

AUSTIN — They say sequels are never as good as the originals.

Just months after the end of Jade Helm 15, county officials have approved a second military operation in Texas, according to a report from the Midland Reporter-Telegram. Missing this time around: the conspiracy theories.

Tom Green County Commissioner Bill Ford told the Reporter-Telegram that commissioners unanimously approved a request earlier this week for the military to train in the county, which is home to San Angelo. Ford noted that the response hasn’t been the same as the outrage over Jade Helm 15 from earlier this summer, which spurred Gov. Greg Abbott to order the Texas State Guard to monitor the operation.

Abbott was criticized by some for his response, but he said that he was only trying to provide answers to concerned citizens who had questions.

The governor’s office has not responded to a request for comment on whether or not Abbott will order the state guard to monitor this operation as well.

County officials told the Reporter-Telegram that they are not expecting the same response Jade Helm 15 received.

‘Mastering The Human Domain’: What’s At Stake With Jade Helm 15

The conspiracy theories around the Jade Helm 15 exercise turned into a national joke, obscuring the real issues with the normalization of the police state and possible psychological operations underlying the large-scale military exercise.

< snip >

‘Mastering the Human Domain’

Most media coverage of Jade Helm has been geared toward assuring the American public that there is no reason to fear this or any other military exercise. Yet a closer look at the U.S. government’s growing police and surveillance states shows that everyday Americans are becoming the focus of various “domestic extremism” and “terrorism” task forces.

Citing an “escalating danger from self-radicalized individuals within our own borders,” then-Attorney General Eric Holder announced in June 2014 that the Justice Department would revive a domestic terrorism task forceestablished to share and monitor domestic threats in the wake of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. Holder stated that the Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee would work to eliminate the threat posed by violent individuals who may be motivated by anti-government or racist views. The FBI, the National Security Division of the Justice Department, and the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee are in charge of the efforts.

Meanwhile, documents like the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) report prompt questions about why everyday, constitutionally-protected behavior is becoming criminalized. MIAC is a “fusion center” which connects the Department of Homeland Security with local agencies to share resources and information. The center issued a report in 2009 stating that U.S. citizens could potentially be a domestic terrorist if they support “strong state rights,” or if they hold “anti-abortionist” or “anti-Immigration” views. Opposition to “the collection of federal income taxes” or “the Federal Reserve Banks,” or support of third-party presidential candidates like Ron Paul could also land citizens on government watchlists, according to the report.

Apparently Jade Helm 15 worked to normalize the police state and large movements of the military in CONUS in your mind eh?

Don't have to guess what YOU are going to do about it any longer do we?

I would think Jade 1 through 14 would have already done that. Laugh

Don't have to guess what YOU are going to do about it any longer do we?

Wait until something happens and then decide or else sit on my hands, apparently.

Why wait when you could be making fun of people that are doing something now instead? You got enough practice in at this point that you should be really good at it by now.

These types of military training maneuvers have been going on for over 30 years.

And the governor did not send in the National Guard for any reason other than the Texas National Guard has always acted as observers, referees, and liaison between the Army and local governments and law enforcement agencies.

Just more tinfoil hat nonsense.

I've heard "this has been going on for . . ." before TC but I've never heard anyone explain why this makes doing a thing ok. Can you explain it?

For example, the government has been violating the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 (which forbids using the army or air force to police the citizenry) for a number of years now. How does the length of time violating this law make it ok?

What length of time violating this law would it take to make it ok, 5 years, 10 years. 20 years or is 30 years the magic number?

Please explain.

And just how have they been doing that? Can you give me specific instances where the US Military has been used to enforce civil law.

What law do you think Jade Helm 15 violated?

Here's a few examples.

What makes you think I think Jade Helm violated any law? Did I say that? No. Have I ever said that? No. Did I ever say the military was invading the south west? No. Did I ever claim it was a conspiracy to take over anything? No.

My concern with these drills is that they are being used to instill the exact type of thinking that you displayed. It's normal folks, happens all the time don't worry about it like those nutty tin foil hat guys.

The more we see it the more normal it gets. The police and military training together in Small Town USA? No big deal it's normal. You'll get used to seeing the military doing police duties. Give it some time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4RWRm-bgv8

"Hey are they police or military up ahead at that DUI checkpoint? Gee, I don't know they all dress the same now, but it has to be normal because they've been doing it for years now.

Then please clarify what you said here:

Governments go bad and turn against their populations. Happened all throughout history.

I asked Poncho

And I haven't received an answer. I find that very telling.

All I can say is do you really trust our government right now? Has there ever been a more secretive government?

I find it very interesting that you overlooked my answer (post #9) to claim that I haven't answered your question. O O

Let me know when you've finished reviewing all the evidence. :)

When you get past the leftie vs rightie party talking points and the red white and blue USA! USA USA! rah rah rah and the good guy vs bad guy stuff the people get so fixated on and just look at the evidence what you'll find is that this govt which was corrupt before the "crazies in the basement" (neoconservatives) were let off their leash during the Reagan administration has since 9/11 become an outright mafia style criminal enterprise that makes the Sopranos look like choir boys by way of comparison.

At the top of the power structure sits the private international central banksters that not only finance the US govt (at interest by creating money from nothing) but also finances the multinational corporations who in turn own 90 percent of the media and sponsor the people that create "our" foreign policy. The "think tanks" who all agree on the same thing, we need to channel ever more economic and human resources into more and more interventions and regime changes around the world because we're the good guys. Wrong!

The real reality of it is we're the schmuck guys that end up being the unwitting accomplishes who foot the bill and suffer the consequences of their crimes.

To say Obama is president at this point is just a formal ruse for the sake of keeping the illusion that he's in charge of the one and only exceptional indispensable white hat wearing global force for good that is tirelessly fighting to rid the world of evil terrorists and make the world safe for democracy.

In other words so we can "blame the man in office" again when it looks like it's going bad instead of the people pulling his strings. In reality the worse it looks for us for the better it's going for them.

Follow the money. Where's it all going? Up up and away.

Once you get past the illusion the reality is unreal. Probably that's why no one including myself want's to believe it. But there it is and it's all normal and we trust it because it's become so normal.

So you think a bunch of Youtube videos is an answer? Most of those guys were National Guard who ARE allowed to work with local police in the enforcement of civil law. It is FEDERAL troops who are forbidden by posse comitatus from doing so.

So, apart from all the silly youtube conspiracy sites do you have any actual evidence of federal troops enforcing civil law? Any at all?

In times of emergency. Where was the emergency?
You have yet to document any troops, federal or NG enforced civil law.
You didn't watch the documentaries did you?
What "documentaries?" All I saw was a bunch of conspiracy theories.
Are there two TCassidys on this board?

I ask that because one of them said this just the other day . . . https://www.baptistboard.com/threads/todays-cops-incident.96643/page-7#post-2181272

I except your apology for falsely accusing me of not answering your question. ;)
Show me one place in my earlier posts that I said or even suggested that federal troops were enforcing civil law in violation of posse comitatus.
