And Mark 8:31 says He will rise after three days. Which is in line with Matthew 12:40 and Luke 24:21.


That was said on the first day of the week, i.e. Sunday, so the first day since the crucifixion would have been Friday, and the second day since the crucifixion would have been Saturday thus making Sunday the third day since the crucifixion.

If Christ was crucified on Wednesday.
Thursday would be one day since.
Friday would be the second day since.
Saturday would be the third day since.
Sunday would be the fourth day since.
