The word in question was not ""Race" it was "racist"

racist. n. 1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. (bold my emphasis)

What Biden said was not racist - he just wasn't thinking.....

"Superior?" okay...
Yes or No:
Is it racist to say blacks are better players than whites in football (68% to 28% in NFL) and basketball (74% to 23% in NBA)?
Is it racist to say whites are better hockey players than blacks (93% to 7% nonwhite)?
Is it racist to say whites are better engineers than blacks (75% to 6%)? and is it racist to say Asians are better engineers than whites (16% for 5% population; 75% for 66% population)?

Other than write the question for SAT results, just refer: Race gaps in SAT scores highlight inequality and hinder upward mobility

You might be right, the Democrats will pull Biden in a heartbeat if they had to. If they don't, Biden will have to choose a black woman as his running mate. A white woman such as Amy Klobachar or Lizzy Warren is out of the question now I think.
Biden just indicated he wants Amy vetted.

Racism is a one-way street, always in in the eye of the beholder, who must ever be pro-Dem. Just recently that infamous "birther" Trevor Noah referred to Obama as the "world's slowest Kenyan." Insulting the former president's "intelligence" that way may be clever, but was an obvious slur against his "white" half. No one will notice, or care if they do. Still, it was an interesting admission. :Wink

No, I don’t see them getting fired up for anything.
Good points about the younger generation. This is just the sort of problem that will likely seriously hurt Biden in that category, all the more after his cavalierly racist comments in the closing moments of that interview. They may not be nearly as easily fooled as their forebears.

There is a risk, however, of black voters, especially those who are younger, staying home in November, which could complicate Biden’s path to victory in a tight election. The Breakfast Club is a particularly notable venue for Biden’s comments because the program is popular among younger African Americans.

I don’t see Biden running. But there is another with the spark. We will see.

Your point, Yodo. May the Farce be with thee, and thine. :Wink

Seriously, I don't see how it makes sense to try to drag him across the finish line, but it may make great sense to shield to the last possible, or opportune, moment whomever they plan to substitute.
Trump has put himself in jeopardy and handed these Democrats the election provided they can act boldly and decidedly. The key is a youthful intellect who is like able to inspire confidence and that person will have to be ready to address both health and economics issues that trump badly botched. Now doctor disaster could go begging in order to create a stimulus like his predecessors did but he would look very awkward in doing so.... however that’s what he is up against & it will be entertaining to see it in play out... I’ve got the popcorn ready for game day. We can even vote by the comfort of our homes... I love it!

The election is about 23 weeks away - in politics that is a lifetime.

30% will vote for Biden (or any Dem) just to get rid of Trump
30% will vote for Trump (or any Rep) just to keep a Dem out
the Election will be decided by the middle 40%

Agreed....and that’s why that 40% needs to be targeted. Are you aware of the Lincoln Project?
