Calm down. All the Dems said that McCain was Hitler and an adulterer. McCain was a bad politician. His word was no good and he was too petty to switch to the Democrats where he belonged. He was a war hawk and a social liberal. He thought it was wrong to call Obama as Barrack Hussein Obama.

When he got home, he probably should have lived off the money his wive's family made from selling booze and stayed out of politics. If he had any principles, what were they? His father and grandfather were Admirals, but he was just a lousy politician who did not relate to anyone.

If not, its because you have blinders on. He performed low in flight school. He was too inexperienced to be on the ship he was on flying the "hottest" missions in Man. He got put there because his ship was experiencing extensive repairs and he wanted out from behind a desk. My 2cents.

He pressured congress to lay off the investigation into the savings and loan scandal. Did the same thing with the mortgage bump. He got us into a bunch of wars we didn’t need. John McCain was everything the democrats say they’re against. The urge to protect him from criticism is truly baffling.

The Navy was influenced by insiders, just like every other form of government. Did you read the glowing native son bio that Salty posted? Did you see the part where little tough guy Mccain as a plebe freshman steps up to a firstie senior? #1 That does NOT happen in real world academy life, my son went through it. How did Mccain win the day, supposedly? Just told the senior who he was, John Mccain THE 3rd. Poor senior runs away scared, oh my. He was well used to cashing in by that point.
