No, Nutt needs to be replaced for next season. And Frank Broyles needs to retire as atheletic director. Bump Nutt up to AD where his rah-rah stuff can help raise money. Bring in Butch Davis as head coach.

Actually a nice try by the Hogs today, helped by Georgia losing Shockley for most of the game.

This effort should give the Hogs hope for the next three games.

I stand by my previous prediction: 2-9 or 3-8.

If they win another game, it will be the game vs. Miss. State.

I wish that would be true, but I see no way for that to happen. Their new quarterback, Mitch Mustain, will be a true freshman and I don't see any team with a true freshman quarterback coming even close to being an SEC championship contender or even a Western Division contender.

In my life time, I don't think Ar. has ever been happy with their coaches in football. But Frank did bring them one national title.

Looks more likely that Nutt will be replaced by Butch Davis for next season with perhaps Gus Malzhan coming along with Mitch Mustain to be the offensive coordinator or at least the quarterback coach, IMO.

At least I certainly hope so. Listening to Houston Nutt after the game he sounded like a beaten man. I think he may know that his time as head coach will soon be over.

4-6:

I have to admit the Hogs are doing a lot better than what I was expecting for the end of the season. I was presicting a finish of 2-9 or 3-8.

What is happening with this? Is Nutt back for another year?

Yes. And Malzahn was hired as the offensive coordinator.

2006 - Nutt's last chance. The team needs to go at least 8-4 in the regular season and show that it is on the upswing.

I am excited about Malzahn bringing a more balanced offense to the Hogs.

You Arkansas fans are up and down more than temperatures in Missouri.

One week you are ready to jump....the next you are excited

I would be excited about Malzahn being there regardless of who the head coach is. Malzahn is a genius on the offensive side of the game.

Ar. is a hard place to get good young out of state players to come to just as SC ,Clemson, Miss. State are to name a few. Those schools have to out coach others to win. Frank Broyles was able to do it there but he kept the best in state players, Lou did the same until the in state HS coaches turned on him. Danny Ford did it at Clemson and Frank Howard did it also there. If you were a top HS player not from Ar. would you pick Ar. over USC, Miami, FSU, Florida, Texas to name a few? Not many have.
