That is exactly what Miller did in the 1800's. "Oh, I was off by one year..." give me a break... :tonofbricks:
And I forgot to mention, White picked up on it, by making it a "heavenly" fulfillment (cleaning out the sanctuary), or something like that, and that was what Russell did as well.

So, Rapture this Saturday, Iran gets the bomb in mid 2012, zombie apocalypse that December 21st, then a big meteor strike...when? 2013? Is that before or after the coming pandemic? My calendar is so crowded... When is the next Nintendo gaming system coming out?

And to think I started to clean out my basement right in the middle of all this! :tongue3:

Now, now, ya'll get to caught up in mathmatical proceedings.

Camping's story will be that God withheld judgement because he (Camping) prayed and God found Camping's camp "righteous" (now ann! quit laughing!) and like God promised Abramham spared the world because of 5 righteous persons. Therefore, judgement has been postponed 120 years.

Seriously:

Right now more lost people are saying what they beliege.
It is a good time to listen, for we hold the world of LIFE, do we not?

Here is what I hearing some say:

The mean Christers are using the Rapture for an out to avoid human responsibility.

How do you answer that?

Well, it's not man's choice as to when Christ returns. Mr. Camping has no "inside information" and as believers, we're to live as if Christ is not coming back today and to continue to do the work that we are called to do. I'd ask what sort of responsibility are we avoiding by looking towards the end times because it could mean so many different things and I'd like to know where their thoughts are going with that.

What lost people have you heard saying this? I have yet to hear one say that we are out to avoid human responsibility. Besides, what qualifies one to be a mean Christian and what responsibility are we trying to avoid?

At 545 I will be sitting outside - I dont want any holes made in my house trailer.....

I Thessalonians 5:4,9-10 "For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night

Sure, a thief will announce when he is going to break into your house - right...
