Hi Bro Tim, thanx for your quick reply! anyhow the 1769 was translated in 1611. you probably have a 1769 (nothing wrong w/ that of course). The 1611 editions are a little hard to find, but findable. I think Nelson Pub sells them hardcover for $30.00 or $40.00. Most KJV's that you find out there was translated in 1611, but modernized in 1769. Have a great day!Originally posted by Bro. Tim L. So you think, then, that things different can be the same. You should have quite an argument with little Timmy.Originally posted by QuickeningSpirit:
So answer this for us, Alcott, was John the Beloved the only disciple besides Peter to witness the crucifixion? That might explain the difference, huh? Uh, Matthew, Mark, and uh, definitely Luke, weren't actually there.

Probably no clearer (and sadder) attack on a person, with venom and guile cloaked in Scripture. That makes me ashamed to have you on the BB, Tim.Originally posted by Bro. Tim L. Bynum:

No fair taking one of my favorite verses out of context. Greek was the common language, thanks to Alexander the Great.Originally posted by Bro. Tim L. Bynum:
