King James Bible vs New age versions

tiny, would you also mock the United States Constitution? Y'know, it has the use of the, uh, "long" f, and not the little stubby thing on our type. The "long" f is clearly seen as an "s" with the line drawn through just as many still draw a line through a # & to prevent confusion, uh, just like the KJB translators, uh, did, uh.

BTW, It's that US Constitution and the ,uh, Bill of Rights that gives you the ,uh, FREEDOM, to, uh, speak so freely, uh, and uh,uh, they useed the KJB , uh, PROFUSELY! Uh,uh,uh,uh?

And one more"uh".

Uh, one more thing, uh, I've read Riplinger's book of the English language, she has a rather firm grip on it. Since Don suggested a debate between Ruckman, whom I know very little about, and Ed here on the BB, whom I find quite satiricle, tickle, tickle, and ,uh, Gail Rip"you if you linger around long enough" is alive and well, maybe we need to sit in the grandstands and witness the event of your scheduled debate with her? Uh?

Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so...( Well Atleast The King James Does)
If you folks want to know why I fight and claw
so rough about The King James Bible being the
only inspired bible, here it is...The bible says
in Psalms 138:2...for thou hast magnified thy
word above ALL THY NAME.
I believe with ALL my heart in the King James
Bible, I spiritually discern clearly that things
that are different are not the same, and all
of those new versions omit and change thousands
of words, that is in clear violation of Revelat.
22:18 AND YOU KNOW IT IS, and when you scoff
and mock the King James Bible you are attacking
something that my God hold dearer than his own
name, and when I here that, I latch on to that
fight like my Pit Bull Max would your leg if
tried to harm my wife or daughter!
If you want to see an Old Testament picture
of my zeal, look at Phinehas in Numbers 25:6-13.
I can`t stop for "Deeper Lifers" I must keep
working like Nehemiah, if I make some enemies
along the way,I remind myself that Jesus made a
few when he called the religious crowd a generation of vipers.

Bro Tim Bynum,

"and when you scoff
and mock the King James Bible..."

No one here scoffs at the KJB - just people with unreasonable ideas.

"I remind myself that Jesus made a
few when he called the religious crowd a generation of vipers."

Against whom did Jesus inveigh so vehemently? The Pharisees - who talked a good, holy game but who were inside like dead men's bones.

The bible DOES NOT explicitly say, "AV" or "KJB", and does not give a command not to translate the word. It DOES explicitly tell us to love others. You can adhere to your opinions about what Psalm 12 and Psalm 138 say (although I personally disagree ) - but if you let this get in the way of behaving in a Christlike fashion then you act as did the Pharisees.

I would like to see Ed take on Gail. But he would need advance notice so he could research her heavily ellipted quotations.

Uh, no, you really don't mean that, she would massacre my dear friend, Ed and then I would have to scold her.

Don, why did the KJV translators not accept the word of God they had in 1605? Why did they change it and make their own translation?

The king had the authority to have the word of God changed? Did the previous word of God stop being the word of God once they had a new word of God?

no but we got away from the douay bible which was a catholic bible and every new age bible has one thing in common catholathism.

Don, you're missing the point. There were many other Bibles besides the Douay Rheims. Did the word of God exist *at all* before the KJV? If so, why did they change it?

rsr: "I would like to see Ed take on Gail.
But he would need ... her heavily ... ."

Gail isn't the only one that can
turn a sentence with an ellipsis ( ... )

Bro TB, nowhere does Psalms 138:2 say anything at all about the AV1611 or KJV1769. Unless somehow you are implying that the old designation, "Thy" is an allusion to the KJV?

DON
"tiny, would you also mock the United States Constitution?"
Tim being a good patriotic US citizen would never do that, but if you want to, I could mock it for you. :D

"no but we got away from the douay bible"
The Bible in common use in Great Britain befor the KJV was the (orthodox protestant) Geneva Bible not the (Roman Catholic) Douay Reims.

Anyhow I propose a tag team match. Ed Edwards and Thankfull vs. G.A. Riplinger and Peter Ruckman.
I'll be Ed's treacherous manager, distracting the referee when needed and maybe even smashing old Rucker's head in with a conveniantly placed metal folding chair if the opportunity arises.

"Word of God" has two meanings in the Bible.

1. the written word of God, the Holy Bible
2. the living word of God, Christ Iesus*

(This is the KJV1611 spelling,
the KJV1769 spelling is "Jesus").

In Psalm 138:2 the "word of God" must
refer to His son: Messiah Yeshua*.

(This is the Hebrew spelling adapted
to English)

Thank you Brother Mioque.
Would you lay off the chairs, please. Instead,
quote the Dutch Bible. Those two opponents
would think they were hearing tongues
and get all distracted

Of all the adjectives I can think of for someone who would say that, few if any of them would be allowed on this board.
