............ It puts a bad taste in my mouth every time I come here to have to wade through it.
Yeah, I think KJVO is pretty close to a cult. But I never question anyone's salvation. That is between them and Christ.
1. I am not crying.
2. I am just pointing out that I am tired of wading through the long, cut-and-paste posts of the Fire-Breathers. Why do people think they can cut and paste long detailed arguments and think anyone will read them?
I guess that depends on if that fits what a cult is. How do you define a cult? i define it as anyone who does not believe that salvation is by Faith alone in Christ (Defined as the God man, fully God, fully man) alone by grace alone.I suppose then it must be okay for me to view anti-KJVO as a cult.
The reason is calling a group a "cult" is not questioning their salvation. A person can believe absolute correct doctrine and not be saved. A person can believe erroneous doctrine and be saved. You've even got at least one poster that calls KJVO a cult. That should be a violation of the questioning people's salvation policy, but Baptist Board has always given that poster a pass, while at the same time, allows apostasy to be routinely published.

Man, the fire-breathing time wasters are alive and copying and pasting huge swaths of support for KJVO garbage.

I ain't namin' names. In post #1 and post #4 in this thread, it is clear that you referred to KJV-only posters as copying and pasting huge swaths.
KJV-only posters such as Alan Gross and JD731 often make longer posts than I make.
Haha. I went to his forum. 4 members.Just PM RevMitchell, he's getting tired of the BB and is starting his own... Maybe he'll put you on his staff where, you can make the rules... KJVO's are not allowed... Until then follow post #2... Brother Glen![]()
It is my conviction that one of the reasons we have so many English translations is because the scriptures are not needed for an argument for Reformed doctrine so they have sanctioned many of them.
Why do you allow this to disrupt your calm mental state. Personally, I don’t pay them any attention.Man, the fire-breathing time wasters are alive and copying and pasting huge swaths of support for KJVO garbage. It puts a bad taste in my mouth every time I come here to have to wade through it.
Do you read them? There is such a thing as the ‘Ignore Feature.’Yeah, I think KJVO is pretty close to a cult. But I never question anyone's salvation. That is between them and Christ.

So JD don’t candy coat it, come out and tell us what you really think about the Reformed!I think this site is dominated by those of the Reformed groups. It is my conviction that one of the reasons we have so many English translations is because the scriptures are not needed for an argument for Reformed doctrine so they have sanctioned many of them. Reformation doctrines are only loosely based on these translations. Therefore it really doesn't natter if they are inconsistent to a degree. The real authority for them are church fathers and high profile celebrity preachers and authors whose names they drop regularly and some of the 'confessions." These sources have already made the defense for their faith in these Calvinistic doctrines and there are only a few people who are actually willing to engage in a discussion of their own personal studies that caused them to arrive at the conviction that they are what the translations teach.
Whether I am defending God's prerogative of giving his own testimony in his own words or just defending the faith, I attempt to do it by showing what is said by God in context and by giving enough scripture to affirm its truth. I do not quote other men. I know what I personally believe and I am able to teach it myself
For instance, Piper (This is the same name as one of the Reformed sages) said in one of his comments something like by faith alone, by grace alone, and by some other things alone. Well, I think that is a silly doctrine that is not taught by the scriptures. It is a made up formula that has just become a clique' among Reformed folks because of the celebrity who made it up. It has become authority and something that will take one out of the faith if it is disagreed with.
The truth is that faith and grace does not work alone in the salvation of a sinner. It is by grace through faith. See how easy that doctrine is to refute.
Discretion… being slow to speak is a good thing brother.Haha. I went to his forum. 4 members.
