A revised list of policies and ideas that have infected American thinking and paved the way to a Marxist win in 2008:

  • Medicare and Medicaid
  • Social Security
  • Unemployment insurance
  • Disability
  • Workman's Compensation
  • Organized Labor
  • Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • The 19th Amendment
  • Public Education
  • Evolution
  • Secular State
  • Reproductive rights

What part of the civil rights act is Marxist?

You aren't seriously proposing that people be restricted from voting due to race, are you??

Since there are two threads now on blatant marxism----I will shut down thread #1----it is violation of BB rules to have two threads of identical title

Nonsense. Also, Social Security is not a gift. People pay into it their entire life. It also has done wonders for keeping the elderly out of poverty.

It has done it by enacting a PONZI scheme, doomed to crash. People would be much better off with private retirement accounts. The fool and his money are soon parted.

I suggest living in a marxist country before making comparisons. Certainly we're more socialistic. What I find interesting about the US is that we pay taxes as though we a socialist country without the benefits of one. Something wrong there.

Yea you may but that is not legitimate. We want to avoid Marxism and we need to know what it looks like in all its forms before it gets here. Otherwise we wake up one day and say "look Karl Marx accomplished his goals in the US." Foolishness to pretend that if everything is not Marxist then nothing is.

Are you suggesting a five year plan to get away from Marxism?

Your moronic ideas in one thread are just as moronic in a 2nd thread...

You keep coming up with new marxist sign posts. I guess the next will be a certain bulletin board made up of baptists who commune with others and share their ideas.

Life was much better 80% of Americans were working poor who had to spend half their life's energy to get enough calories to stay alive. Back when the cities had wood sidewalks the poor people could pry up the planks and burn them to stay warm in the winter. That circumstance was much more equitable than the food stamp program.

More stream of consciousness posting?

Any idea of what the topic is?

Nothing good on TV right now?

You as well as Bryant need to enrich your word power. The title is Latent Marxism. For every one of the items listed to become policy, a Marxist philosophy had to be espoused.

Many of you are like the fabled boiled frog. You're steeped in Marxist tendencies and don't even know it.
