She had I read already stabbed at another person. So the white police officer shot her at the moment she was stabbing the other girl.
This ought to have no legs to run for BLM except that it was another officer involved shooting of a black person, and BLM hates the police and the current system of justice.

The cop made the split second decision deadly force was justified. You don’t use less than deadly force (stun gun) when deadly force is justified. Stun guns don’t work on everyone.

You do not shoot to “disable” for the same reason. Attempting to shoot someone in the leg or arm is risky for others, is a more difficult target to hit and may not stop the threat. If deadly force is necessary, you shoot center mass.

You may have well have asked why didn’t the cop just jump the 15 year old girl and take the knife away? She was just a loving little, motherly type and he was a grown man. Of course, the guy kicking the other girl in the head wouldn’t have gotten involved as he easily wrestled that knife away from that little girl.

Why didn’t the cop just say, “wait a second, ma’am, we are calling a crises counselor to come resolve this issue.” Please don’t stab that girl.

Then after the girl in the pink was stabbed a few times, the cop could have stated in a slightly raised and somewhat more firm voice, “ma’am, please don’t stab the girl anymore, you might cause her serious harm”.

The cop was justified and saved a young black girls life. That should be recognized and focused on.

She was immediate threat to someone’s life. If she was mentally ill, she doesn’t get a couple of free stabs with the knife to compensate.

The officer who used her gun instead of her taser has been arrested and charged. The US justice system is working just fine.

IF the cop had MISSED, and the criminal's knife had found its mark, and the girl in pink died, the outrage would be even greater against the police.

You believe scripture, why not Romans 13 then? Which authorizes authorities to use deadly force against evil doers.
You can also understand if a society does not do that, there is something wrong with their administration of justice according to God.
The sword mentioned was used with deadly force by the authorities to deal with crime. And Paul says this is approved by God. See they meet God's justice sooner this way than if they lived a longer life.
