FTW, why are you admonishing? Just simply, let him go.

I really get tired of these kind of statements:
The big difference between the left and right is that those on the left hate God, but those on the right are pretty happy with the way God does things.

I've been told 3 times in my life that a Democrat can't be a Christian. What particularly makes me mad is the negative impact hypocrites have on Christ's Church. But I am going to let this guy go. It's a waste of my time.

I've been told twice by you that Republicans can't be Christians, and we just "met" yesterday. There is a hypocrite in the building. Check the mirror. . .

The only way to take care of all the needy people is by government. NO, it's not. Education is the key. You teach people righteousness, and it lifts them out of poverty. But for some reason you just want people to keep on sinning. What's wrong with giving people their tax dollars back, so they can give more to the poor and to churches? You're against that! You're against the poor learning the correct way. That is infuriating to anyone who is of God, and to God Himself! Shame on you!

You WANT the government to take care of the poor, so they never learn virtue and righteousness! You are just plain cruel! Individuals and churches could witness to the poor, and their souls could be saved. God cares little that that the temporal body be preserved while the immortal soul perishes in hell.

When God refers to the poor, He is referring to those who, by no fault of their own, are living in poverty; widows, orphans, the crippled, the blind, etc.. I have no problem with government subsidy on those people. My objection is subsidy of sin. If those people learned the error of their ways, they wouldn't be poor! But you object to that!

In your ignorance you have become a cruel persecutor by supporting the enslavement of sinners for life, and the consequent eternity in hell. Your ideology is wrong! What was truth is truth now, and it always will be truth. There is one truth. Everything else is wrong! I would say you are on a road of deception!

I was told by some on here that Catholics can’t be either yet they populate most of the Protestant churches in New Jersey who willingly fall all over themselves to assept them.

OK, but I have no idea how that pertains to this thread or my comment. Can you explain how it does?

Simply, the world is filled with hypocrites, it is the mother of all sins...there is not a person alive, I am certain, who does not wallow in it, knowingly or unknowingly. We must accept ourselves for what we are.... that is the secret of a healthy mind and body.

I agree, but it only those who rely on the grace of God who are free to admit their sin and weakness. Those relying on their own righteousness must cast aspersions on others in order to prop up their position. They imagine themselves moving upward when they push others down.

So your plan is to give people tax dollars back by borrowing more than 2 trillion from the Chinese? Really?!? Who’s going to pay that back?

There you are then, and you must not criticize others. We are all humans, we are all sinners. And what is sin...it is nothing more than human reality for which we are all guilty (as sin).

That's where you go wrong. Thinking critically and judging are necessary and prescribed by God. Being a hypocrite is doing the same thing you condemn in others. Just because one might be a hypocrite in one area doesn't mean that he can't use judgment in another. I can admit that I am a sinner, yet condemn child pornography, can I not?

I can use my God-given intellect to analyze political positions, and I can find where a position is wrong and ungodly, without engaging in a sinful behavior, can I not?

And who then judges, God or man?

Two things, the only reason anyone has anything against Catholics or the Church is because of misunderstandings about the Church. Christianity is worldwide, because of the Catholic Church. It is the main Christian denomination in the world. It is the original church. It invented hospitals, the University system, medical school, the free-market economic theory, the seven-note musical scale, scientific method, mechanized production, genetics, the slide rule, atomic physics, astronomy, seismology, it discovered the acceleration of gravity, that planetary orbits are elliptical, that the world began at some point; it is responsible for building Western civilization!

The US Constitution is based on Roman Catholic doctrine. If it wasn't for the Church, there wouldn't be any Protestant denominations, because Christianity would have died out. Every Protestant has the Catholic Church to thank for his/her Christianity. Without Roman Catholicism, the world would be much worse.

However, those who reject Roman Catholicism on the basis of contrived deception are cheating themselves out of a treasure trove of information, because virtually every ancient book we have today was preserved by the Catholic Church. The Church made the Bible!

The other thing is hypocrites. The world is not full of hypocrites. If a person commits sin, but then advises other people not to commit the same sin, that is an act of mercy. The person is not a hypocrite for doing that. What Jesus referred to as a hypocrite was someone who played the part of holiness, but only for personal gain. Inwardly, they had no reverence for God, and they used the Jewish law for their own gain, by exempting themselves from it.

A hypocrite is an actor, which is the true meaning of the word. NOT SOMEONE WHO COMMITS SIN THAT THEY ADVISE OTHERS AGAINST. If I'm an alcoholic, and I see my nephew getting drunk, so I tell him, "Don't do it! Don't you ever get drunk again, kid! But I'm drunk at the time. That is not hypocrisy. Anyone with that understanding is wrong!

Well said. You are indeed correct and have judged wisely.
