Since we are in the Lenten season, many Roman Catholic churches are having Friday fish dinners as a fund raiser.
Would you stop by a RC church for a delicious fish dinner, knowing the proceeds go to further the RC church?
Good, bad, or indifferent?
Depends on what the proceeds are used for ...
from the OP "to further the RC church"
Why, do you think a lousy fish fry is going to further the cause....please.
Absolutely not! Our Baptist Church has a quarterly fish fry. Our church members go out and catch, clean, and cook the catfish themselves...we invite whosoever will come and don't charge a cent. Why should I support the Roman Catholic church anyway?Since we are in the Lenten season, many Roman Catholic churches are having Friday fish dinners as a fund raiser.

No, I would rather go to Long John Silvers ARRRHHH!!!!
Why did you have to bring this up? I've need a LJS fix for years now. They closed all the ones in my city and the next closest is a 60 mile drive....We have Captain D's, but it's just not the same.
I love Long John Silvers! Sadly, we only have a Captain Ds around here. No, I would rather go to Long John Silvers ARRRHHH!!!!
The Catholic church started LENT in A.D. 998, long before they originated Christmas, and Easter. In A.D. 100o they started the Holy Water bit.Since we are in the Lenten season, many Roman Catholic churches are having Friday fish dinners as a fund raiser.

Thank God I had Jesus introduced to me, allowing me to break away from that environment. I would never trade my relationship with Jesus for a religion again!
Just like Jesus separated Himself from sinners, huh?raying:Aside from giving them the gospel we are not even to fellowship with them. Rcc is the false bride of Christ and they are not Christians.
