Music wise is related to eastern culture, this is western culture and I really don't think the Lord minds what we sing here, as long as it's solemn. Common English ???? Yeah it's real common, i hear that word at the pulpit, and on the street all the time, everywhere ! Get a life.
What exactly is your baptist back ground, coz us regular folk know baptists as pulpit pounding, evangelists and don't speak your language ! What are you Baptist USA or something like that ?
Why does God want Western people to sing in a solemn manner but told those in the Bible to worship with shouts, loud drums, cymbals and horns?
God literally commanded His people to worship by "playing skillfully with a loud noise", by "clapping hands", "shouting" praise, with "loud cymbals". And yes, that is from the KJV.
I do not know if I have ever heard "vernacular" from the pulpit. But I do not think I have heard many common words (like "school bus", "walrus", "fountain pen", "toe nail",...etc) from the pulpit either.
I was raised in a SBC congregation (since a child). I was saved while in middle school. I have attended SBC churches all of my life (still SBC, attending a church plant).
Church background has nothing to do with knowing English words. I was taught English in the public school system - and did fairly poorly in that subject (my strength was math, and literature).
Funny thing is I attended public schools in Georgia and Tennessee (not particularly known for academic rigor). My son knows "vernacular" (public education in Tennessee and South Carolina, even through the COVID shutdown).
My concern here is you are talking about translations of the Bible in English, talking about the KJV and reference Greek and Hebrew, yet you had no idea what "vernacular" means.
This tells me you are way out of your depth. The NT was written in kione Greek because it was the vernacular.
The Bible could have been written in a more formal, eloquent, concise Greek (Atticism), but God chose the vernacular (the language of ordinary people.... the language people did not have to think about to understand).
You could learn, if you did not come out of the gate with your guns blazing.
