Let's suppose Calvinism is true...then why don't all Christians believe it?

In other words, why do some believers in Christ affirm Calvinistic doctrine while other do not? In my estimation there can only be three possible answers assuming that the Calvinistic dogma is true:

1. Calvinists are just smarter, wiser, more educated, or something which may give them cause to boast.
2. God elected some of the elect to be Calvinistic while passing by all the rest of us "lessor children of God.
3. God does irresistibly draw all true believers and those who reject Calvinism are not real Christians.

Which answer is correct and why?

Does it have to be 1,2 or 3? There's lots of reasons why each side believes various interpretations, both sides believe they are following what the bible teaches and affirms to be true. I respect those that hold to historical confessions, although for me, its not something I really care about, the bible is present and available now just the same as the Lord is, there's no reason to have a one or the other position.

Cool. Do you hike or climb or ski or forage for mushrooms, etc., etc.? Are there bears or wolves there?

All, but no wolves other than the local zoo, just a bit away., they even try to shoot the bears that have recently been introduced.

The Boletus / Cèpes mushrooms are great here.

Let's suppose Calvinism is true. Why do many believers in Christ not affirm the Calvinistic soteriology? ... If God's regeneration can irresistibly bring an individual to belief in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, then why does it often fall short in bringing them all to a consistent understanding of how God saves?

In other words, why do some believers in Christ affirm Calvinistic doctrine while other do not?....
I can only speak for myself.

I wasn't taught Calvinism. I read God's Word. I believed what I read. I came to the same conclusions that I later learned was generally called "Calvinism".

When I find something in scripture that is contrary to my understanding, I seek to understand it in the context that it was written and reconcile what I know to be true from other passages. I change my mind and agree with scripture.

The more I study, the more the doctrines of grace are affirmed again and again in scripture.

So, why doesn't every Christian agree concerning the doctrines of grace?....

I don't know, but I pray they'll....just keep studying with an open mind....

peace to you:praying:

Not all Christians believe in:
the inerrancy of the Bible
The deity of Christ
the imminent return of Christ
The virgin birth of Christ
Various miracles

yet all these are true.

From a Calvinists perspective, why do you think some (like me) do not believe in the doctrines of Calvin? I'm a Christian. I have the Holy Spirit residing in me. I love the scriptures and believe with my whole heart they are the very words of God.

So, why do I reject the TULIP? In your opinion. Don't hold back. I can take it. :)
It's either because you're not a Christian, or you're an ignorant and proud one.
