A good man like him with a gun would have put a stop to it all and probably not been hurt at all.
Except for their fists against guns, knives, vehicles and explosives, Londoners are helpless.

The criminals and terrorists already have guns. They don't obey gun control laws.
If England had not taken guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens this event may have been avoided altogether.

I was responding to your and TCassidy's assertion that the terrorists have guns. I think it's pretty plain that neither the Westminster Bridge attack, the Manchester bombing, or the London Bridge attacks involved guns - apart from those lawfully wielded by the police on Saturday night.
Exactly, "apart from those lawfully wielded by the police". That tells the story. It took a man with a gun to stop the carnage.
A civilian with a gun could have done the same, and sooner. A cop is not always around when you need them.
The goalposts of the discussion are being moved: the assertion was made by two posters earlier that the terrorists have guns, which has been demonstrated to be incorrect. Now the suggestion is made to make guns freely available, which is a different issue altogether, although it will result in said terrorists having guns in the future, which I don't think is dreadfully helpful...
Stop making things up. Nobody said these terrorists had guns. If the goalposts were moved, you, moved 'em..
