Franklin Graham Decries Total ‘Absence of God’ in Democrat Convention
"Franklin Graham denounced the total absence of God(1) in this week’s Democratic National Convention, calling on Americans to bring God back into public life."
"Rev. Graham wrote on his Facebook page early Friday. “I don’t believe America’s finest hours will be in front of us if we take God out(2) of government and public life.”"
"Rev. Graham wrote on his Facebook page early Friday. “I don’t believe America’s finest hours will be in front of us if we take God out(2) of government and public life.”"
“God created us and this earth we live on. Who do we think we are to try to rewrite the rules and run things apart from Him? Who do we think we are to try to take Him out of everything(2)?” Graham asked."
“When One Nation Under God(3) becomes One Nation Apart from God, expect the consequences,” Graham wrote,..."
"Rev. Graham’s indictment of the Democrat Party echoes a growing perception that the Democrats have a serious God problem, which has left religious believers(4) out in the cold."
The God of the Bible is not subject to the whims of the fallen human race.
Number 1- Why did he come to this conclusion? If God does not evidence Himself the way Graham specifies, God is absent?
Number 2- Can those he is referencing (we) “take God out”?
Number 3 – What in the history of this nation convinces him that we were ever a “one nation under God”?
Number4 – Perhaps there are “religious believers” in the organization. That is a broad position to take.
It is clear to me that he, and numerous other Christian leaders and their followers, take a very arrogant position when evaluating God’s relationship to people, places and things they disagree with.
[Isa 55:8 KJV] 8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
I would that these leaders call for revival on a national scale.
If they could figure out a way to capitalize on the event, they probably would.
It is wise to remember:
[Dan 2:21-22 KJV] 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
