Franklin Graham Decries Total ‘Absence of God’ in Democrat Convention

"Franklin Graham denounced the total absence of God(1) in this week’s Democratic National Convention, calling on Americans to bring God back into public life."

"Rev. Graham wrote on his Facebook page early Friday. “I don’t believe America’s finest hours will be in front of us if we take God out(2) of government and public life.”"

"Rev. Graham wrote on his Facebook page early Friday. “I don’t believe America’s finest hours will be in front of us if we take God out(2) of government and public life.”"

“God created us and this earth we live on. Who do we think we are to try to rewrite the rules and run things apart from Him? Who do we think we are to try to take Him out of everything(2)?” Graham asked."

“When One Nation Under God(3) becomes One Nation Apart from God, expect the consequences,” Graham wrote,..."

"Rev. Graham’s indictment of the Democrat Party echoes a growing perception that the Democrats have a serious God problem, which has left religious believers(4) out in the cold."

The God of the Bible is not subject to the whims of the fallen human race.

Number 1- Why did he come to this conclusion? If God does not evidence Himself the way Graham specifies, God is absent?

Number 2- Can those he is referencing (we) “take God out”?

Number 3 – What in the history of this nation convinces him that we were ever a “one nation under God”?

Number4 – Perhaps there are “religious believers” in the organization. That is a broad position to take.

It is clear to me that he, and numerous other Christian leaders and their followers, take a very arrogant position when evaluating God’s relationship to people, places and things they disagree with.

[Isa 55:8 KJV] 8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

I would that these leaders call for revival on a national scale.

If they could figure out a way to capitalize on the event, they probably would.

It is wise to remember:
[Dan 2:21-22 KJV] 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Franklin Graham premise is wrong to start with. Excerpts from Joe Biden’s acceptance speech:

“I know how it feels to lose someone you love. I know that deep black hole that opens up in your chest. That you feel your whole being is sucked into it. I know how mean and cruel and unfair life can be sometimes.

But I've learned two things.

First, your loved ones may have left this Earth but they never leave your heart. They will always be with you.

And second, I found the best way through pain and loss and grief is to find purpose.

As God's children each of us have a purpose in our lives.

And we have a great purpose as a nation: To open the doors of opportunity to all Americans. To save our democracy. To be a light to the world once again.

To finally live up to and make real the words written in the sacred documents that founded this nation that all men and women are created equal. Endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. Among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

...

“I have always believed you can define America in one word: Possibilities.

That in America, everyone, and I mean everyone, should be given the opportunity to go as far as their dreams and God-given ability will take them.”

...

“This is our moment to make hope and history rhyme.

With passion and purpose, let us begin – you and I together, one nation, under God – united in our love for America and united in our love for each other.

For love is more powerful than hate.

Hope is more powerful than fear.

Light is more powerful than dark.

This is our moment.

This is our mission.

May history be able to say that the end of this chapter of American darkness began here tonight as love and hope and light joined in the battle for the soul of the nation.

And this is a battle that we, together, will win.

I promise you.

Thank you.

And may God bless you.

And may God protect our troops.“

We cannot judge a person by their profession of faith. We cannot judge a person if they are truly saved.

We can look at Joe Biden and say that his actions and position are un-Christian. I suspect most of us can point to President Trump and make a similar claim.

I like how biden says he wishes great faith of islam taught to young children in schools. And I like how trump defends Christian faith. That tells me a lot about who to vote for. you don't even need to look at policies or platforms, if your a christian you just know. And biden will force mask wearing outdoors. Plus will shutdown country, because he says you have to deal with the virus. Honestly, he talks about the light and the dark, but his light is the darkness.

2Th 3:6 KJV Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

In light of scripture, you need to reconsider your convictions as stated.

Democrats are promoting lawlessness at the DNC, so who are the lawless ones? (lawless one is a term for satan and his followers)

I think you make too much of politics. Politics has always been a rotten endeavor and always will be.

“It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.” - Ronald Reagan

I don’t think it is an honest argument to take the comments or actions of one person of a group and apply them to the whole group. Do you want people to take some controversial comments from a speaker at the GOP convention next week and apply them to all Republicans?
Well, the DNC gives them the platform to speak dont they. Re-imagining the police, is just another kind of attack on law by lawless ones. Like Satan in Eden, 'has God said'.

Everything is spiritual, especially so of politics as everything is controlled by spiritual powers and forces, some of darkness.

So far it has only been Democrats who have wanted to defund the police. However, to be fair, the Dems did nominate an Attorney General for V-P, soon to be President, and an Attorney General is considered a top cop.

Why are you voting for Biden?

Considering that once upon a time I did not finalize on who to vote for president until I got out of bed on election day morning, your question is quite premature. :Biggrin

Also, Trump is a lock to win Arkansas, so my vote is basically meaningless for the Electoral College.

The same can be said about any controversial comments at next week’s GOP convention.
Sure, well no, they are extremists, those at the DNC who say these things.

“No normal person could eat wat the dnc is serving, we tune in bc it’s our job”
Your vote shows what is in your heart.

I suppose your fine with the, black vietnamese transgender, non binary, gender transcendent mermaid queen king, part of their platform..
You get the whole enchilada to chew on that one when electing Biden Harris, this is part of who they are now..

Harris is the real candidate, not Biden. She will be your president.

The Dems want a federal law requiring masks and Biden says that he would do a federal lockdown over the Chinese virus.

We know the Dems would raise taxes.

I think that Harris would touch off a recession like we had under Obama.

Those actions would please the wealthy whites who vote Democrat. Blacks may like Trump but they probably will never vote Republican. Trump has done a good job but 2020 will not increase his margin over 2016 as Biden will promise to ask Antifa & BLM to end the riots if he is elected but of course Harris will call for more riots after the election in order to destroy the middle class. Even if Trump wins, the riots will continue.
