Okay, since that's a personal attack on me, I'm now asking you to provide your proof of your accusation.
The very fact that I posted the information about a 3-star general mentioning God directly contradicts your statement that I'm "standing against" those who stand loud for the Lord. By posting it, I actually posted something that YOU weren't even aware of; and thus, I made it known publicly. Post #10 of this thread: I said "We're not putting this man down." I can come up with quite a few other proofs that directly contradict your false accusation.
So put up some proof, or apologize for making a false statement about me.

The fact that you resort to such statements, instead of quoting or pointing to posts I have made, merely reinforces to all readers here that you cannot prove anything you're saying; or that you're just too lazy to do the work to actually prove your false accusations.

It is my personal opinion that the slaughter of 55,000,000 unborn children will bring God's judgment on this country. That judgment may well be accelerated/intensified by the widespread acceptance of homosexuality. Both are an abomination to God.
I say the following in part because of some comments I have read on this thread.
1. We had better hope that everyone who disagrees with Obama's policy does not leave the military; that would likely require reinstitution of the draft.
2. For all the naysayers and critics of those who do not follow the Sergeant: The military is not a democratic organization as anyone who has served can attest.

If I recall, being deployed to isolated stations, there was always at least one Christian that constantly taught the Gospel. I was not a Christian at the time, and actually found it quite annoying. I do not remember one time when there was silence about the subject. Since I was there, I know. What about you, do you remember a period of silence over the matter? Oh thats right, you were not there.
Your question is invalid because it presumes that the "moral person" is aware that the people he/she is engaging are non-combatants. If this was true, then the "moral person" is merely a murderer, and therefore not "moral."
If you've ever been in a fight, whether fisticuffs at the playground or bullets flying, then you engaged because they engaged you first; or you know or have been told that they're legitimate targets.
Unfortunately, the people who identify the targets are not always correct. And also unfortunately, we hope and pray that the people who are engaging the targets can make an on-scene determination as to the validity of the target...but they don't always get the time/opportunity to do so.
Since the non-combatants or combatants don't wear military uniforms to distinguish them, and rules of engagement have changed since WW2, and for the reasons stated above, your question is invalid.
In any war, there is collateral damage.
