I posted an image of a letter the speechwriter wrote explaining what happened upstream in this thread. You should read it.From what i Heard in the news reporting, the speech writer explained how the exact lines where missed and not reworded, and that Melania shared the same sentiments. Seems trivial to me, even if Obama would have done it.
I'm still amazed that this issue is still an issue and I guess I'm part of it.I posted an image of a letter the speechwriter wrote explaining what happened upstream in this thread. You should read it.

Ok, I did read it, twice. It looks like a good genuine explanation and apology. So what is all the fuss??I posted an image of a letter the speechwriter wrote explaining what happened upstream in this thread. You should read it.

But I didn't take from her statement that it was deliberate. Unless you think she is lying...It's unethical to take someone else's speech (article, book, treatise, etc.) and pass it off as if it is your own. Especially when it is not an accident, but deliberate. Doubly so when the candidate brags that he surrounds himself with only the best people.

The same folks that have gone and on about some stupid emails...Trivial it is.
Yes someone has.No one has done that.
The same folks that have gone and on about some stupid emails...
...enter stage left group saying it's not the same thing and...
...sweep them off the stage and reply the emails were just as trivial and stupid.
Apologize and add your admiration for the First Lady and move on. It was a speech. It's not like she spat in Megyn Kelly's face.
Maybe some false equivalence? (Though Melania's admiration for Ms. Obama is worth noting.)
One incident involves 60-70 words in a speech that has thousands.
The other involves thousands of unsecure e-mails, including dozens of very sensitive security items.
Had Michelle written Hillary's Speech, you would nt have heard peepAnd most likely someone wrote Michelle Obama's speech also. Obama's remarks were written by Sarah Hurwitz for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
