Nope. You seem determined not to understand.

GOD DID NOT CHANGE, MAN CHANGED.
So God didn't tell His people to exterminate the Canaanites? It was only His people's understanding that He did? If that is the case why did Jesus still approve of it?

And why did Jesus still instruct His disciples to arm themselves? Is a sword a weapon of love?

And why did Jesus say that governments wield the sword as ministers of God?

Was Jesus confused? Maybe drunk?

God does not change, but mankind's understanding changes.

If you think there is no Islamic threat toward America, you better wake up quick. America does live in a protective bubble. What's happening in Europe will be an everyday thing in the USA if things are not turned around --ASAP.
I had meant to say: "America does not live in a protective bubble."

If that is what you believe.
I don't believe God sinned. I don't believe it is a sin to defend our country. I don't believe it is a sin to defend my life. I don't think it is a sin to defend the lives of my family. I don't believe it is a sin to defend the lives of innocent people.

If that is what you believe.

Read the OT and its teachings. Then read the teachings of Jesus and learn the difference. The Holy Spirit would have to teach you as you surely would not listen with honesty and understanding to any man who tries to teach you.

Enough of this inanity.

Brother there is a difference between lack of understanding and a deliberate refusal to reject the evidence of the truth. TC's biblical points on this issue are 100% correct. Our Triune God is not divided, Jesus would not disagree with the Father or the Spirit when certain nations where ordered destroyed. How about the Flood? Are you saying Jesus would disagree with all the people of the earth being drowned with the exception of Noah and his family? Are you saying when Jesus comes back He is not going to destroy the enemies of God with fire?

No one has argued otherwise. I simply have repeated the long-held Baptist belief that God revealed himself progressively. Thus, God did not change, just our understanding of him changed and thus our actions toward others should be inline with what Jesus taught us about God.
