No kidding. I wonder if that's because he's the last blue-collar president we've ever had? A lifeguard and radio broadcaster before he was an actor. The rest have been children of privilige or wealthy.

No kidding. I wonder if that's because he's the last blue-collar president we've ever had? A lifeguard and radio broadcaster before he was an actor. The rest have been children of privilige or wealthy.

It was before Reagan, but Nixon came from a very poor family. In fact, having read several books about him, lots of people think his early experience developed in him a distrust of those who were well to do. It may be this that developed into the paranoia later in life that lead to his downfall.

For what it is worth, to me, he was a much better President than anything since Reagan.
