Old Zac belonged to the King even before his repentance, it was no accident Jesus just happened to stop right near the tree where Zac was and just happened to look up, and just happened to know Zac's name.

Luke 19:1-5 "1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. "

Today I must abide at thy house. He went to Jericho for old Zac's sake.

Neither was it an accident that He just happened to get thirsty and sat down by Jacob's well and this Samaritan woman just happened to be drawing water at that day. He knew what He was doing, where He was, why He was where He was (and that includes the cross), and who He needed to speak to.

And here we see a true statement. "Zac" belonged to the "King." This has nothing to do with everlasting life. "Zac" already had that. This had to do with the King and the offer of His Kingdom!

Acts 16:30-31 and Ephesians 2:8-9 seem to disagree with your statement here.

Let's not confuse the issue with relevant facts, now!

Nowhere does it say this is a statement to the eternally unsaved.

First---then tell me who this statement is directed to

    Then

Tell me who the eternally unsaved are and I'll tell you who the eternally saved are!!!

OK I will play in that game. No where does it say that this is not a statement to the eternally unsaved.

"Perishing" can only apply to a saved individual.

How does a spiritually dead person lose his life that he doesn't have?

Edited to fix some inarticularity on my part: Anyone who is alive can perish physically. That's why when the waves were crashing over the boat, they woke Jesus and said, "Save us! We're perishing!"

But, the quoted verse is not talking about perishing physically.

At what point does the corruptable put on incorruption? When this mortal puts on immortality, right? So do I go to hell in my incorruptable body?
