Marriage, even after the fall is considered good and not as a man being "defiled with women" as that verse says. If that was the case, marriage would be sin altogether, and Christ would have had to return in their generation. Rev. is symbolic, and "women" represent religious institutions, as we see in ch.12 and 17. These were people who were pure of corruption from the ch.17 woman.
"The sinful world of the flesh" is not about the physical world or body, but rather the desires of the fallen soul. (which uses the flesh wrong, or yields to every physical desire even when not appropriate). The Church had often gotten this backwards (as the Gnostics had --physical flesh/world sinful; soul corrupted by it) and this IS apart of what Paul was addressing in 1 Tim. 4:3.
And the passage saying that celibacy is good still do not warrant the Church to go and make a mandatory law out of it.

The Crusades were wars, so it would be a mistake to characterize them as nothing but piety and good intentions. Like all warfare, the violence was brutal (although not as brutal as modern wars). There were mishaps, blunders, and crimes. These are usually well-remembered today. Let me paraphrase the above paragraph

At that time in history, it was righteous to kill a jew during a time of war, especially when a Jew was anti-christ. These soldiers had the mindset of two absolutes: You were either a christian or you were a non-christain. If you failed to recognize christ as a God, then you were a heretic and pagan worthy of death if you were in the way. The only reason killing of Jews was stopped is because the Jews financed the Crusades. A compromise? Money is a powerful God indeed. But with all wars, you will have rouge bands and platoons that will do things that are not sanctioned by those calling the shots. Look at the Secret CIA prisons holding prisoners. Look at the prison scandal in Iraq. Every single war has it's shameful atrocities.

My only regret is that we(christians) did not win the crusades against the Islamists. Imagine the world without the Islamic influence and it's radical side. Rape and Pilliage has been a part of war when the first war was fought. It's our nature. But like others have said, It's time to move on and deal with the here and now.

Protestantism also has it's violent radical side as well. Aryan Nation, KKK, etc.

Maybe you should research some collegiate resources about the crusades instead of anti-catholic rhetoric websites.

Calvin, called Pope of Geneve, could have killed much more than 58, if he were given more territory, more power than what he had.

Therefore such instances cannot be the excuses for RC. How many millions were killed by Catholic people in South America?
You must recognize the big difference between North America and South America, even though I don't deny the atrocities performed in NA.

For Crusade, RC can find no excuses, but paradoxical whitewash.

What about the Canadian politicians who are so-called devout Catholic but say yes for Gay marriages? Jean Chretian, Paul Martin the former prime ministers advocated the gay marriages, and actually they strongly supported the same sex marriages.

I don't count KKK as born-again protestant Christians. True Christians should not take responsibility for the fake Christians which include Roman Catholics.

That is good that you do reject violence. You have a quandary here. If you reject violence by Churches, then do you also reject violence that our government does in the name of God? IE the current war in Iraq. This war has the backing of God and all the Churches that are represented by those in Office.
