I am pro-life!
Then you're against God, who will destroy it-- 1 Peter 3:2.
Then once and for all, make a full statement on abortion. Do you agree with any exceptions?
You continue your lie. Show me any post where I have said I am pro-abortion?

I never said that you are pro-abortion--you even quoted my post and the words are not there. I did say that you are pro-choice and you are NOT pro-life. I think that you are playing word games a la Alice in Wonderland. And thanks for calling me a liar--very nice of you, but then you are a nice guy, huh? Would you say that you are a typical liberal or a typical Baptist?
How can a person be pro-choice and not be pro-abortion?
I'd say I am much more pro-life than many on the board who are not in favor of feeing poor children, providing medical benefits to poor children, etc. Those folk are simply pro-birth, but not truly pro-life.

And you called me a liar and then tried to twist my words to mean something that you charged me with saying. I guess that you are a typical Baptist.

Greetings CTB, I haven't been on the board much over the past year until recently. I trust that you and yours are being showered with God's Blessings.
Those of us that are pro-life did what we could do; however, neither party is ever going to overturn the decision in Roe v. Wade.
Despite my feelings on this matter, I am politically pro-choice. The decision handed down by Roe v. Wade is the law of the land, and has withstood the challenges. The courts have decided that it is a woman's right to choose. That being said (or written), there will be accountability for the choice that is made. In other words, the "right to choose" is accompanied by the "requirement to answer" for that choice. Don't know about you, but I sure wouldn't want to face the Almighty and explain that "choice." Not saying that any sin is greater than another, but this is a sin that involves someone else....
This dichotomy is due to my belief that my politics and my beliefs are mutually exclusive. I am liberal politically, but I am personally very conservative. We are a nation of liberty and I acknowledge that many in our nation do not share my beliefs/convictions. That is why I assigned myself the moniker of "a TRUE liberal." Most of the people who claim to be "liberal" aren't liberal in any way, shape or form: they are authoritarians. But that is a subject for another discussion.....
Regardless, I admire your convictions on this subject and I respect your opinion - even if I don't share it. Psalm 133:1, brother!
Regards, hope all is well,
BiR
Did man create earth?
Well, BiR, a typical Baptist called me a liar because I didn't say what he said that I said. He will never apologize--afterall, I have stood up to him for over a decade. He is no more pro-life than Margaret Sanger. I used to admire Baptists until posters like CTB showed their private natures openly on the Baptist Board. Now I am thinking that the overwhelming majority of Baptists are like CTB.Alright, CMG: let's not start a feud with the Baptists.......
Hope all is well,
BiR (a BAPTIST!!!)
Crabtown, you are no more pro-life than you are a Republican--that is why I say that you are a counterfeit. You are pro-choice, which means that you think that a woman has the right to decide to abort at her whim. Do you understand what I am saying? You are not pro-life, which means anti-abortion. I hope that you and the moderators get the point even if they disagree.

That IS NOT what pro-life means. It's just what you and a bunch of other political types want it to mean.
CTB has stated his stance several times. HE qualifies as being pro-life.
You and the others on this board who are anti-abortion but pro-capital punishment are the ones who should be classified as counterfeit pro-lifers.
And I suppose the only thing it could mean is what YOU want it to mean?
Just not legally pro-life; he favors no legal protection for the defenseless.
.How do you figure?..
[I will save a step here by omitting the exchange of the obvious question]... If there is no execution for one convicted of murder, but there is "life without parole," that is the death penalty
- confining and controlling them till life is gone,
just slower (although with the countless appeals and obstructions, for some it wouldn't be after all).
