If that is your idea of "proof" you are delusional.

You're the second person to mock the evidence, without pointing out why the evidence is faulty. When people don't directly respond, it's usually because they don't really have anything.

Do you think 18 years of war, with no end in sight, is justified because the Taliban wanted at least a little pretense of due process?

The Guardian said:
"If the Taliban is given evidence that Osama bin Laden is involved" and the bombing campaign stopped, "we would be ready to hand him over to a third country", Mr. Kabir added.

But it would have to be a state that would never "come under pressure from the United States", he said.
The first sentence is in line with the normal extradition process. The second and third are not. The third is the deal-breaker.

Nope. We should have popped about 4 nukes on them and called it even.

Yes, the Taliban wanted to hadBin Laden over through a third country, so what. The US would still have got him.

Here's what's going to happen. The US will be in Afghanistan for another thousand years, or not, spending lots of money and killing civilians every day. The US will pull out (hopefully, Trump will pull all US troops out before he leaves office). The Taliban will the take over (even if the pullout is in another 1000 years). And, nothing will have been accomplished by these decades of war, except a lot of lives and money lost.

But, if the US had not acted wickedly, and accepted Bin Laden's extradition, the global community could have been exerting a moderating influence on Afghanistan. And, now, Afghanistan would be well on its way to being another Pakistan, and then another Jordan.

It's wrong to say the US is accomplishing nothing. The US is succeeding in keeping Afghanistan one of the most extremist Muslim countries on Earth. Everything against Christian and American interest.

They wanted to hand BinLaden over to a country that would never extradite hinm to the U.S. Totally unacceptable.

Most Afghans themselves are against the Taliban. Prob is, it's hard to tell a Taliban & non-Taliban apart by appearance. And Afghanistan was Moslem long-before the Taliban rose. (Remember, the US supplied them with arms to fight the Russians.)

I don't think Pelosi really wanted to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump, as she knows there's no way the Senate would vote for his removal, as it takes 2/3 of the Senate to vote for it. But she's trying to hold the Dems together, which is becoming harder as the "Progressives" are being exposed as New-Age-Liberals under another name.

And a large number of voters, while knowing Trump has many faults, still see him as the lesser of 2 evils, & none of the current crop of clowns campaigning for the Dem POTUS nomination could muster the same number of votes Hillary did.

Pelosi hopes to keep the Dem majority in the House, which is becoming harder as voters are turning against "The Squad" & "Progressives" in general. She knows the GOP will campaign strongly against the "Socialist" turn of some House members & will bring up Obama's supplying of money to Iran while some American vets go involuntarily homeless. Pelosi has more political savvy than many other House members, & she knows an impeachment of trump will blow up in the Dems' faces.

(Note: I'm NOT a Pelosi supporter, as she's still a liberal, although more-moderate than "Progressives".)
