Those are your lines. Trust me, you've crossed many people's lines. You're just like him, and so was McCain and all his other detractors. If your comments on this board are any indicator, you'd be in even more hot water than Trump.

I'll never defend Trump's bad comments, but they are way fewer than the media implies. If Trump was on this board, he'd be an angel compared to us. (where's that little halo emoji when you need it?)

I swear it’s creepy how reading that almost sounds like you are talking about Trump as if he were a god.

Try this.

Ford is #1 in pickup sales. However, Ford is basically getting rid of all of their vehicle models for the US except for Mustang, SUVs, and pickup trucks. No more Taurus, no more Fusion, no more Fiesta, no more Focus.

Is Ford middling? Or is Ford a market leader?

Yikes, man. This is not a good argument. The hole is getting deeper. Nike is #1 in shoes, and #2 in apparel. They are a behemoth. They are the sponsor everyone is looking for.

I think perhaps you just misspoke and don't want to back down. Maybe it's the Trump in you. LOL. (though he usually ends up being right) But if you want to look at them that way, compare them to Ford (for whatever motive), i digress.

Me saying you're just like Trump? Er, does that mean you think you're a god? Confused

I know you meant it as an insult, but fraudian slip?

Nike is a market leader in athletic shoes. They are #2 in athletic apparel. But they are losing market share. Still, I suppose in market share they are not "middling". Statement retracted. You happy now?

My mother was Jungian, so she thought Freud was a fraud.

They are #1 in athletic shoes but have been losing market share for the past couple of years. In athletic apparel they are #2 and losing share to adidas and Under Armor. In athletic equipment they aren't on the radar.

Yeah, in this country, Nike has been in decline but not globally:

Nike's global revenue, by region 2017 to 2018 | Statistic

agree or not, Kapernick gives off an anti-American vibe to people overseas, and that's who they are appealing to here.

“Don’t ask if your dreams are crazy. Ask if they’re crazy enough.”

this will cost Nike here but they will make up for it and more elsewhere,

Thank you. That actually makes sense. I could not figure out what their strategy could possibly be.

Market leader in pickups. Middling on the rest.

SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - Ford is recalling approximately 1.6 million Ford F-150s because of a potential fire risk.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall of the pickup trucks, both Regular and SuperCrew cab, between the years 2015-2018 because of a potential fire risk resulting from the deployment of driver or passenger seatbelt pretensioners.

A bit of an over dramatic reaction for a pretty innocuous commercial don’t you think?

Kaepernick endorsement announcement was on September 4th.

Nike stock closing prices:
Sep 4 $79.60
Sep 5 $79.92
Sep 6 $80.57 (so far today)
I don’t expect Nike to crash and burn, they’ve gone from 34.00 to 83.00 or so in the last 5 years and a few points lower will not kill them.

The rule that any publicity is good publicity may apply and help them continue in growth but I think that they will never reach the potential that they could of because of this bad marketing decision. I know I’m done with them and I’m certainly not alone.

It would have been wiser to have looked for a publicity stunt that didn’t offend those who believe in always respecting the flag and don’t condone disrespectful propaganda antics of the Left under the guise of freedom of speech. Many will now and forever continue to look at the brand as unpatriotic and have absolutely no desire to purchase their items and Nike foolishly brought this upon themselves.

Huh? We've been having a field day with this one:

.
Nike signs 'Hanoi' Jane Fonda for new marketing campaign

That video nails it that its about politics and it is funny because it brings out this truth.

I would recon to say that Hanoi Jane's marketing career never met its potential after her publicity stunt, may Nike get much of the same fate.

Makes me think about the situation, we had a washed up quarterback sitting on the bench, paycheck about to get smaller, saying to himself what can I do to get some attention, ahh, how about kneeling at the flag during the Anthem for some political propaganda effect!! ...Now all he would have to do is give 100% of the proceeds from Nike to his "nobel cause" and I might consider him to having a solution to save self respect and show he has some dignity...
