We didn't have a strategy for defeating Al Qaeda in Irag either. We had a good excuse in the beginning. They weren't there until after we invaded and occupied the country.

"ISIS is the successor to Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn—more commonly known as Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI)—formed by Abu Musab Al Zarqawi in 2004, which took part in the Iraqi insurgency against American-led forces and their Iraqi allies following the 2003 invasion of Iraq.[65][70] During the 2003–2011 Iraq War it combined with other Sunni insurgent groups to form the Mujahideen Shura Council and consolidated further into the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI /ˈsɪ/)."

Grammatically a racist construction in this sentence.

So I assume you would call the wording on this tee-shirt a "racist construction"?

Decimate means to kill every tenth one. I'm sure folks here are familiar with the Roman practice.

Nothing to brag about, huh?

But he said something like that 32 times. Does that mean to kill 32 out of 10? Now that would be something to brag about!!

PRESIDENT OBAMA: WE DON'T HAVE A STRATEGY FOR DEFEATING ISLAMIC STATE IN SYRIA

Before leaving for New York for a series of fundraisers, President Obama held a press conference at the White House to discuss his lack of strategy on Syria.
Obama told reporters that his strategy was still developing, and that he would continue to consult with congress and the American people about any action in Syria.

“I don't want to put the cart before the horse,” he said. “We don't have a strategy yet.”

Making the desert glow for fifty-years. Light them up !

Funny. Obama said they were defeated.

He did take out bin Laden, something Bush couldn't do in 7 years. That didn't stop Bush from declaring victory in 2003.

"On May 1, 2003, Richard Perle advised, in a USA Today op-ed, “Relax, Celebrate Victory.” The same day, President Bush, dressed in a flight suit, landed on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln and declared an end to major military operations in Iraq—with the now-infamous “Mission Accomplished” banner arrayed behind him."

I'll never forget those pictures. My goodness how the men on board that carrier appreciated him. He gave them all the credit for their accomplishments.

Obama ,on the other hand, barely gave a nod to the people that actually found and killed Bin laden. He spent all his time patting himself on the back.

I don't think they would have appreciated him at all if he had told them the truth, that they would be forced to return to Iraq and Afghanistan for a second and third tour of duty and that he opposed raising their salary and benefits.

It's no easy task to kill a guy that was already dead for ten years.

That might actually be the truth. Bin Laden was needed as a figurehead enemy to get the American people behind those two needless wars. GW Bush said that it was no longer a priority to capture him as early as 6 mouths after 9/11:

Bin Laden might have actually died in a U.S. hospital in a Dubai hospital in July of 2001 with the knowledge of the CIA or perhaps in Dec of 2001.

"In November 2001, The Guardian is reporting that French intelligence officials say bin Laden was flown to Dubai for kidney treatment in July of 2001, where he also met with several CIA agents and the head of Saudi intelligence. This story is also picked up by several French newspapers." Link: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/nov/01/afghanistan.terrorism

"In December of 2001, the New York Times reports on "high-level murmurings that bin Laden is dead." Link: http://www.nytimes.com/2001/12/26/international/asia/26LADE.html
That same day, citing a Taliban source, Fox News reports that bin Laden has died due to an "untreated lung complication" from kidney disease. About 30 "close associates" reportedly attended bin Laden's funeral in the Tora Bora region of Afghanistan. A source concludes that the U.S. government and other forces are in a "mad search operation" but will never be able to locate the now-dead bin Laden, buried in an unmarked location."
