So I guess 'good intentions' are enough.
That is the liberal way. Don't judge them by their results, only by their intentions.~ Rush Limbaugh
This does more to prove him right than anything else in history.

What did he TRY to do in the first 11 days to earn anything! Nothing. If you read about past winners you will notice it is not about the results of the person's beliefs or actions, but about what they tried to do. If the Nobel Peace Prize was given on what a person accomplished then many of the recipients would not have been given the award ... such as AUNG SAN SUU KYI, Burma. Oppositional leader, human rights advocate. So it is not even in the ballpark to say nothing has been accomplished. That is not part of the criteria.[
A joke repeated — or, in Twitter parlance, RTd — in numerous tweets suggests one possible interpretation of the Nobel Committee's haste to garland the new laureate: " 'Did you hear Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize?' Answer: 'What for? For not being George W. Bush.' "

"Thank you... Thank you..."
"I am here today... on behalf of the American people, to accept this award.
<<Teleprompter pause>>
"I realize it has only been a few months into my presidency, but many, many things have changed."
<< Pause for applause>>>
"Throughout my campaign for President of the United States of America... I promoted hope and change....
<<Teleprompter pause>>
And this award proves to the American people........ that they made the right choice by electing Me... Yes ME... (Thinking to himself: I love saying "me")... to the office of the President of the United States.
This shows that Hope and Change are coming,...... not only to the United States, <<Teleprompter pause>> but to the world.
Through my efforts, you will see a world of one... <<Teleprompter pause>>
A world of hope...
<<Teleprompter pause>>
A world of Change.
We Americans have been a superpower for way to long.... and many, many countries have noticed that we feel we are superior... Well that is about to change.
No longer will our currency, the Dollar, be number one in the world...
<<Teleprompter pause>>
No longer will our military goals be to win wars...
<<Teleprompter pause>>
No longer will the United States be guilty of establishing democracy in places where democracy is needed...
<<Teleprompter pause>>
From now on, we will play nice...
<<Teleprompter pause>>
and we know that by trusting the other nations in our Great united world to also play nice............... we can accomplish lasting peace.
<<Teleprompter pause>>
So keep the Hope... Change is coming...
<<<Standing Ovation and applause>>>
And continue to support me, as I, the prince of world peace, do my best to make sure that all countries are equal.
<<<Riots break out... Goal posts are taken down, couches are burned in WV, and the world goes crazy in support for our world leader, Barack Hussein Obama>>>
I think it's too soon, but perhaps this will give President Obama a platform to push for a world without nuclear weapons.
You thought the Nobel Peace Prize was something other than a political tactic?I very rarely post here now, but this stunned me!!
What has President Obama done to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize?????
To use a common phrase here I am gobsmacked!! Unbelievable.
I mean, no matter what you think about it, what has he DONE to be honoured in such a way? The last US president to win it was Woodrow Wilson for his 14 Points that ended World War I.
Big Whoopee... He's made us popular again. That's on a par with Mandela and King.
I have bigger fish to fry.
Reminds me of how people react to the International Bluegrass Music Association(IBMA) Awards. A few years ago some people were complaining about Cherryholmes winning an award after so little time touring, and then people were doing the same this year about Steve Martin being nominated for banjo player of the year along the lines that if he won the award(which he didn't - Kristin Scott Benson won it for the second consecutive year) then the award meant nothing.
Personally I stopped paying attention to award ceremonies years ago. I like what I like. It doesn't matter if the artist or song wins an award or not. It is irrelevant to my enjoyment of the music I like.
I really don't care who wins the various Nobel prizes. It has no impact or influence on my life. I have bigger fish to fry.
It's a travesty that Obama didn't win the prize for economics.
He deserved it as much as the peace prize.
I agree 100%!!!
I just hope Kanye shows up!
