This obsession that you have for putting words in other peoples' mouths really causes me to question your reasoning abilities.

Not a reasoning problem, just a liberal tactic to shift focus.
But on the other hand, the problem persists even after being pointed out, so----perhaps it IS a reasoning problem??!!:tongue3:

Perhaps, but then no one demanded the right to declare that they were gay either.

And things are different now.

Just about everything is different including how mean fundamentalists and conservatives have become since they married the GOP

But some things are better. Medical science is much better. The Jim Crow laws are gone. The Poll Tax is gone. Cars are much more reliable, frozen foods are much better, there is more tolerance between the races ... just to name a few areas where improvements have been made.

Ice cream is not as good, traffic is worse, public transportation is poorer in big cities, pollution is worse, acid rain is worse ... to name a few area where things are not as good. Oh, and white bread is still an abomination to the Lord.

Gays make overt approaches in public restrooms now. Did they do that when you were young??

I don't know. I have never been approached, when I was young, middle aged or old. Have you?

A question is a question, not putting words in another person's mouth.

If you have taken showers with other fellows in high school, college or the military you have taken showers with gays present. No one, except a very stupid person, would make on overt approach in a shower with others present. It would, at least when I was young, have been a very unhealthy thing for a gay to do.

Are you really afraid of gays?

You're talking to someone else but I can tell you I would not like taking showers if I knew lesbians were around. And yes, I'm sure this happened before in gym class showers though I was fairly naive at the time (though I knew one of my gym teachers was gay).

It's even worse, however, if this is sanctioned. It implies, for one thing, that a straight person should not feel uncomfortable, and if they do, they need to get over it. This is the attitude coming down the pike with gay civil unions, gay marriage, etc.

The gay agenda is driving the changes here, I hope you know that. They goal is not to just have legal rights but to have homosexuality endorsed, and furthermore, that it should be a crime to speak out against it.

PS Just a reminder, I am the former astrologer who did charts for lesbians and lesbian witches, so the issue of fear is moot.

Where does one get a copy of this "gay agenda" everyone keeps speaking of? I would like to read it for myself. :tongue3:

From the looks of guys like Ted Haggard, it appears those who rail against it the most, are those who struggle with it. Given that standard, you had better check into it.

What does that have to do with anything? Are you? From the looks of guys like Ted Haggard, it appears those who rail against it the most, are those who struggle with it. Given that standard, you had better check into it.

And again, if you can give me a credible reason why that is germaine to my post you quoted, I will answer. Maybe you can give me a copy of that agenda you seem to be so familiar with.

That's low, even for you. I can recall him mentioning his kids and grandkids in another post. Gay people can't have kids because that takes a man and a woman.

I'm absolutely stumped that someone who claims to be a "Reverend" would stoop to the level of personal insult such as has been displayed on this thread. Shame! Such activity is unfit for persons in the pastorate, and none of us should tolerate that sort of posting. I don't say that lightly.

This is absolutely untrue!
Yes it is. You've said over and over that heterosexual fornicators should not be barred from enlisting, and when someone like myself says anyone with a history of fornicating should be barred from enlistment, you accused me of "excusing sin". That's hypocrisy.
