Why does the wild eyed fanatical right wing Republicans hate America? They are exhibiting Hanoi Jane behavior.

Somebody explain this to me: The president of the United States wins the Nobel Peace Prize and Rush Limbaugh joins with the Taliban in bitterly denouncing the award? Glenn Beck has a conniption fit and demands that the president not accept what may be the world's most prestigious honor? The Republican National Committee issues a statement sarcastically mocking our nation's leader -- elected, you will recall, by a healthy majority -- as unworthy of such recognition?

Why, oh why, do conservatives hate America so?

Okay, I know, it's just some conservatives who've been exhibiting what they, in a different context, surely would describe as "Hanoi Jane" behavior. Others who haven't taken leave of their political senses -- and are familiar with the concept of manners -- responded to President Obama's unexpected award with equanimity and even grace. Sen. John McCain, for example, offered his good-natured congratulations.

Your link is not showing. Humm went back and it was??????

Some might suggest your inability to understand and profuse condemnation is the reason you are liberal and not conservative.

By the way seems liberals condemn just as conservatives condemn, although liberals fail to see their failings and only point out those of the conservatives. :sleeping_2:

Considering what seems to be the President's goal for America, one might ask why it, or he, is deserving of an award for it.

excerpt from wiki:
Some commentators[15] have suggested that to award a peace prize on the basis of unquantifiable contemporary opinion is unjust or possibly erroneous, especially as many of the judges cannot themselves be said to be impartial observers.

Ok, let me understand this.

If you don't think that Obama should have gotten the Nobel Prize then you are joining with the Taliban because they don't think that he should have gotten it either.

But if you actually voted for Obama you are not joining in his support of abortion just because he supports it.

Looks like a double standard, Crabby.

It's hard for me to understand what makes a grown man make such an idiotic statement.

Simple!! Criticism of their "master"!!!!!!

Kinda like when I was about 6YO, you better not criticize "Capt. Marvel"!!!!

When I became a man, I put away childish things!

Pity that the "0"'s minions can't do likewise and face reality.

It isn't for me. I shared an office one time with crabtownboy's brother.:laugh::laugh::laugh: Or maybe it was his child. I would say clone but that was before cloning came around. Had to be a close relative though.

I hate Obama's vision of what America should be, and have articulated why so many times that it is now obvious C.T.Boy cannot read, or he wouldn't ask such stupid questions. The real question is, why do THEY hate America ? They're the ones who want to change it, not us.

Just another dishonest libby attempt at justifying this socialist takeover.

And Jane Fonda was one of you guys, don't forget that.

"...the world's most prestigious honor."

Obama is no different than Carter, Gore, or Arafat. We've derided all of them over this foolish award.

Obama and his Brown Shirts may or may not hate America but I believe they hate America as it was constituted.

The Declaration of Independence declares that we receive our rights from GOD. The Constitution codifies that concept into law. This truth Obama and his Brown Shirts hate. They believe that the only rights we have are the ones we receive our rights from a benevolent government.

But after the 2010 elections :applause::applause::applause::applause:

The president's own words:

I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee. Let me be clear: I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations.

To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize — men and women who’ve inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.

Personally, I have decided to leave it there.

I believe I said it before, it doesn't have to do with anything he has done as he himself admits. It has to do with his world view and charisma.

It is the European way of putting their stamp of approval on our president.

Please don't get me wrong, while I am proactive in my efforts and prayers for world peace, I will exercise all of my unalienable rights to see to it that he is voted out of office along with the elimination of all the socialistic bills for which he is responsible, especially those bills which are misnomered such as the "Health Care Bill" (which bill, unless something has changed in the last day or two, we the people are now not allowed to read before it is voted upon).

I think getting all upset about Obama getting the Nobel Peace Prize is misdirected, because it lends credibility to the award - the same award that was given to the likes of Arafat.

Crabby, this is about the lowest you have gotten so far. Jane Fonda and you would make great bed fellows. Why are you attacking someone who acts and thinks like you is beyond me?

I have never said I want America to fail.

I have never said that a president should not accept an award such as the NPP.

I have never been a Jane Fonda fan ... but it seems Rush and company have joined her in wanting the US to fail. I did not agree with her about Vietnam and I do not agree with those who call themselves conservatives but want America to fail now.

I did say before we invaded Iraq that it was a stupid idea and I believe time has shown me to be correct. But we are there and we should not cut and run. In the long run it will be worse if we do.

We should not cut and run from Afghanstan. Same as Iraq, if we allow the Taliban to take over we are back to square one.

We should help our poor, elderly and those who are ill.

I find that radical conservatives are not really patriots, but opportunists and want only for themselves. Anyone who says they want America to fail is no patriot.

I do not mind a person opposing the policies of a president as long as they are rational.

I dislike the off-the-wall disinformation being published by the unethical, untruthful on both side of an issue.

I dislike the fear mongering I see being shouted from the roof tops by the radical conservatives who seem to have no regard for truth in any way.

Now, I will sit back and wait for the one line answer. And I would certainly welcome some well thought out paragraphs.

Bolded mine

Based on the italicized portion of your post above, why should anyone even try to give more than a "one line answer"?

You seem to ignore "well thought out answers" and just chastise for criticism of the "0".

When you start practicing what you so self-righteously demand from others, then you may get more than a "one line answer"!

See, even now you got three lines. <- (this one doesn't count:thumbs: )
