I'm "throwing my vote away". Last July, I could not take it anymore and changed my political party from Republican to Independent.
You don't KNOW the Republicans that I know in person. It's all about the god Trump who does no wrong and all about crying out "I'm a Christian" and at the same time hating gay people, anti-Trump people, and people of color.
I will be staying home on election day. There is no one I can vote for.

Jimmy Carter claimed Jesus as Lord and Savior. I don’t declare anyone saved or unsaved, but if the man claims Jesus as Savior, I take him at his word.
The question is what POTUS candidate was worthy of a Christian’s vote. If you go solely by that criteria, then Carter was worthy.
I never said he was a good POTUS.

I agree that we cannot know.
That said, I don't think we can take somebody at their word. The reason is that Scripture indicates we take them by their fruit and treat them accordingly.
If they are living for the flesh then we treat them as if they are lost.
The difference is that we hate even the garments of those appearing to live for the flesh while professing to be saved. They are "given over to Satan" in the hopes they will change.
I can't see a reason to doubt Carter's faith.
Do you believe Mormons are saved?
He was a terrible POTUS, therefore completely undeserving of anyone’s vote.
I don’t want a very poor unskilled heart surgeon cutting on me because he claims to be a Christian.
I want the highly trained, always successful non-believer working on me.

Where does scripture say Christians can be identified by their fruit? Jesus says false prophets are identified by their fruit. Paul encourages us to walk in a manner worthy and to produce fruit.
The problem, imo, of saying Christians can be known by their fruit is that “fruit inspectors” become the number one ministry in the church.
I agree there is no reason to doubt Carter’s faith. It is amazing he has survived cancer on two occasions (pancreatic and brain?) the kind where survival rates are very low.

No, Mormons are not saved. They believe in a works based system of salvation. They believe God the Father was a man that evolved into a God because he was so good. They believe God the Father had literal relations with Mary (making God and Mary adulterers) and Jesus was their literal son. They believe Jesus evolved into a God because He was so good. They believe they will evolve into a God if they are good. They believe they will get their own universe to rule if they are really good.
So no, Mormons are not saved. Why do you ask?

Jesus said the world will know Christians by their live for one another.
Jesus said false prophets are know by their fruit.

When it comes to voting, we know that few people are regenerated(Matthew 7:13-14), regardless of how many people identify as being a "Christian".
Therefore, when it comes to voting, the odds are low that anyone has ever or will ever vote for someone who has been regenerated.
You will not find it. The Bible was written primarily in Hebrew and Greek.
There are verses stating that a man is judged by his fruit, that God will judge peoples works, and that Christians are not to associate with wicked men professing Christ.
Saying that Christians judge by ones fruit is not a verse but a summary.
Galatians 5 tells us the fruits of the Spirit, and that Christians walk in the Spirit (to walk in the flesh is death).
Use your discernment.
You present a church that has to accept the wicked if the wicked profess Christ. I believe that attitude again nat church discipline is wrong.
Christians need to stand against sin, against evil. We can't do that if we accept sin when accompanied by a profession of faith.

The reprobates will be judged based upon works, which will be lacking as they have no salvific merit as they are not perfect or complete and are as filthy rags. God's elect have already been judged in Christ, thus they are saved in Christ.
Those who know God as their Father must also remember that God will also judge them impartially according to their works, and for this reason have a "fear" that causes them to do the good works for which they were saved to do.
That is what Peter wrote to Christians.
What do we do with that (how does the fact that we are to conduct our lives knowing that God will judge us according to our works)?

No, He will not. There is no salvation in works. Anyone who is judged based on his works will be lost.
To clarify (so I know exactly what you are saying):
Are you claiming that those who address God as Father are not addressing God who will impartially judge according to each ones works, that we are not to conduct ourselves in fear; knowing we were redeemed by the blood of Christ?

Also, the apostle Paul states that Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
We also read what Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.
Do God's elect do good works? Yes! But they cannot claim them as their own nor do they accrue merit for them. Why not? Because - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

I am specifically asking why you believe Scripture stated that those who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ, those who call God "Father", will be impartially judged by God according to their works if it is false.
Is the reason you believe that passage wrong because of Robert Hawker?
