You mean DNA Israel, right? (DNA is extremely important to Dispensationlism) Considering recent findings in genome research I don't see how anyone could consider Palestinians to be invaders in their own land:

-------
Jews and Palestinians in the Middle East share a very similar gene pool and must be considered closely related and not genetically separate, the authors state. Rivalry between the two races is therefore based 'in cultural and religious, but not in genetic differences', they conclude......"

These findings shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who reads and believes the first book of the Bible.

Further:
History of the Human Genome Project
The Human Genome Project (HGP) refers to the international 13-year effort, formally begun in October 1990 and completed in 2003, to discover all the estimated 20,000-25,000 human genes and make them accessible for further biological study. Another project goal was to determine the complete sequence of the 3 billion DNA subunits (bases in the human genome). http://www.ornl.gov/sci/techresources/Human_Genome/project/hgp.shtml

The "genome" of any given individual (except for identical twins and cloned organisms) is unique; mapping "the human genome" involves sequencing multiple variations of each gene.[3] The project did not study the entire DNA found in human cells; some heterochromatic areas (about 8% of the total genome) remain un-sequenced. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Genome_Project

Genome Sequencing for the Rest of Us
No magic markers
Another challenge to consumer genetic testing has been consistency. Although most sequencing processes are similar, and the DNA itself is a unique code, reports from various groups for a single person can have striking differences. "People interpret the information that comes out of the sequence differently," notes John Boyce, co-founder of Delphi Bio, a biotech consulting firm, who also founded the annual Consumer Genetics Conference.
-------
With millions of health records and related genomes available researchers might eventually have access to study populations of unprecedented size, breadth and depth, in turn making individual genomic-based predictions more accurate, reliable and perhaps more appealing. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=personal-genome-sequencing&page=3

The next phase of genomics is to catalogue, characterize and comprehend the entire set of functional elements encoded in the human and other genomes. Compiling this genome 'parts list' will be an immense challenge.
----
Most variation in the genome is shared between all populations, but certain alleles are more frequent in some populations than in others, largely as a result of history and geography. Use of genetic data to define racial groups, or of racial categories to classify biological traits, is prone to misinterpretation. To minimize such misinterpretation, the biological and sociocultural factors that interrelate genetics with constructs of race and ethnicity need to be better understood and communicated within the next few years.

-----
Technology development Many areas of critical importance to the realization of the genomics-based vision for biomedical research require new technological and methodological developments before pilots and then large-scale approaches can be attempted. Recognizing that technology development is an expensive and high-risk undertaking, the NHGRI is nevertheless committed to supporting and fostering technology development in many of these crucial areas, including the following.

DNA sequencing. There is still great opportunity to reduce the cost and increase the throughput of DNA sequencing, and to make rapid, cheap sequencing available more broadly. Radical reduction of sequencing costs would lead to very different approaches to biomedical research.

Genetic variation. Improved genotyping methods and better mathematical methods are necessary to make effective use of information about the structure of variation in the human genome for identifying the genetic contributions to human diseases and other complex traits.

Folks, this is a relatively new research field. The DNA double helix was described only about 60 years ago. The Human Genome Project began a little over 10 years ago.

There is still much to be learned before science can truly understand what God has created that is often being claimed now. (If God allows another tower to be built that high.)

Perhaps, giving time, and God's will, DNA mapping will be traced back to Sarah, to "scientifically" prove what the Bible has been teaching since Moses wrote Genesis.

Mitochondrial Eve is named after mitochondria and the Biblical Eve.[5] The reference to Eve may lead to the misconception that she was the only living female of her time, even though she co-existed with other females. However, all of her other female contemporaries failed to produce a direct unbroken female line to the present day.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_Eve

Then, to work forward from Sarah to designate the differentation between Isaac and Ishmael. And, perhaps, to identify the remnant that remains of Isaac's seed.

Folks, take all of this with a grain of salt. In time, in His will, God will sort it all out for us.

Then why did these findings bring a halt to the research and result in such blatant censorship? The OP topic is PALESTINE. The land supposedly belongs to the Jews (through DNA) who are inherently virtuous, and this land has supposedly been invaded by the Palestinians (same DNA) who are inherently evil.

Mideast Jews, Palestinians Virtually Genetically Identical

Scientific Journal Axes Gene Research On Jews And Palestinians

"A keynote research paper showing that Middle Eastern Jews and Palestinians are genetically almost identical has been pulled from a leading journal.
Academics who have already received copies of Human Immunology have been urged to rip out the offending pages and throw them away.

Such a drastic act of self-censorship is unprecedented in research publishing and has created widespread disquiet, generating fears that it may involve the suppression of scientific work that questions Biblical dogma......"

Most posters on this board have the political insight of a hat rack. Forget all of the Biblical arguments for just one minute. Israel is our only true ally in the Middle East, and one of the best on earth. If we are going to risk our national treasury, or the lives of those who are willing to defend freedom (like most on this board did not), then we should be willing to support a friend of this nation in every aspect of the meaning.

Most of you that have lived fifty or sixty years know if you follow the news just casually, that Israel is the only nation in the Middle East that can be trusted to honor its commitments. The people of Israel are a peace loving people, only they will not tolerate being manipulated into self destruction. No one on this board can show one bit of evidence that the Palestinians, Hamas, Hazbellah, Syria, Iran, Muslims, etc, that they ever intend on living at peace with Israel. Their one goal is the destruction of Israel, whether it takes place in 1948, 1967, 1973, 2012, or 2525. For example, in the 1990 Gulf War, the United States pursuaded Israel not to retaliate for Iraq bombing their nation.

Stop and think. What would the United States do if their existence was threatened like Israel's is? We would bomb the threat out of existence.

Getting back to the spiritual side. I am amazed for all the seminaries, education and degrees that posters here have had, but obviously very little real life experience, that anyone would speak against the nation of Israel. The argument about whether Abraham's decendents are DNA Israel or spiritual believers in Jesus Christ has nothing to do with this. The purpose of the Old Testement is to prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ. God chose the Jewish people to carry out His plan. That alone should be enough for any Christian to support them.

So what were all of you theological geniuses doing during seminary classes? Watching Benny Hinn and practicing his techniques? Or maybe you were studying to be a clone of Joel Olsteen.

What does that have to do with the United States of America being an ally of modern day Israel?

Nothing, which is the point. It is the Dispies who are using their view of eschatology to justify their support of Israel. My support is based on other factors.

I agree with you here Grasshopper. I do not think eschatology, mistaken or not, should be the basis for this country's foreign policy. As I have said before I believe the United States support Israel because they are a democracy and also a thorn in the side of Islam.

But the journal, having accepted the paper earlier this year, now claims the article was politically biased and was written using 'inappropriate' remarks about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Its editor told the journal Nature last week that she was threatened by mass resignations from members if she did not retract the article.

Arnaiz-Villena says he has not seen a single one of the accusations made against him, despite being promised the opportunity to look at the letters sent to the journal.

He accepts he used terms in the article that laid him open to criticism. There is one reference to Jewish 'colonists' living in the Gaza strip, and another that refers to Palestinian people living in 'concentration' camps

Apparently the article was pulled not because of research results, but because of the editorial bias displayed in the article.

One more time.....

DNA research has a long way to go before there can be true certainty about any (some, all) claims that are represented as fact. Reference links posted earlier.

Next, how much of the population in the area has had their DNA mapped? In addition to the reference to Genesis, the Bible frequently mentions a remnant of His chosen people. Test a 1,000 people from the area. Is there any certainty that x number will be from the Hebrews who were enslaved in Egypt? Nothing that I've seen, so far, indicates that DNA testing has advanced to the point that it can idenfify, with certainty, those with the bloodline of Christ.

Using Noah and his son's wives (paternal and maternal lines) as the starting point, has DNA testing reached the degree of certainty that it can map the separate lines resulting from Abraham's children and their mothers? Sure, all decendents of Abraham are a group of people. However, there is a division that starts with the DNA of the mothers of his sons.

Has that division been identified in the test samples of the population residing in Israel and the surrounding areas?

It is hard to understand the significance of the DNA. The genealogy of Genesis clearly establishes that the Jewish people are related to the Arabic nations surronding Israel. We as Christians believe the Bible to be innerant. God chose one line to carry out his plan. The purpose of the Old Testement is to bring about the birth of Jesus Christ. One line was blessed and the other was not. That is the way God chose to accomplish His purposes.

How in any way does this relate to how the United States relates to Israel. There are spiritual and secular reasons that we should treat them as a reliable ally.

It is obvious throughout history that the Jewish people as a race and religion have been naturally hated by many. I cannot understand why any Christian would feel this way. It seems odd to me that this is the normal reaction of a lost world to the Gospel.

Excuse me for being dense, but what in the world does the DNA of anyone have to do with the price of tea in China?

Exactly how is it that 'you people' justify Zionist apartheid in Palestine?

How is it that you aleviate your consciences of guilt from unconditional support of decades of Israeli atrocities against the inhabitants of the land?

Surely you're not that dense, surely.

One point you forgot. The "more moderate Fatah" used to be known as the PLO under Yasser Arafat, who was a terrorist.

http://www.standwithus.com/pdfs/flyers/arafats_Legacy.pdf

The present head of the Fatah is Mahmoud Abbas formerly known as Abu Mazen. He funded the Black September attacks noted above and is a terrorist who worked closely with Arafat.

http://www.terrorism-info.org.il/data/pdf/PDF_19279_2.pdf
So, I hadn't forgotten that, which I why I used the phrase 'more moderate' rather than 'moderate'. Fatah has come far in the more moderate stakes over the last 20 years in particular, much as Sinn Fein and the IRA (former terrrorists likewise) have come far in the same period and are now part of the government in Northern Ireland. Are either perfect? No! But they are both better, much much better than they were.
