I appreciate the passion of the OP, but I'm not one to base theology and eschatology on a forwarded email.

My post, #35, has nothing to do with whether the subject email is true or not: I stand by what I wrote regardless of the validity of the email.

To me the email was nothing more than one example of verification of my beliefs, and the truth or lack thereof, of the email, does not alter my stance.

IOW, I see this email as a verification of my belief; not the foundation of my belief.

My point was more about the anecdotal stories that give political candidates this near-biblical aura. I wasn't very clear in my post. This is more about my discomfort in anointing Palin as Esther, version 2.0...based on an anecdotal account that may (or may not) have veracity.

My feelings exactly - this is only 'acceptable' because it is for the 'right' candidate. All other politician adulation is considered wrong.

Palin=Esther?

While all of us are where we are by a sovreign God for such a time as this, I too wonder about blanket Biblical associations that seem to come from thin air. Maybe she will be. But maybe not. Only time well tell and only a sovreign God knows for sure.

The "right candidate" meaning the far right candidate. Correct? This is a biased statement unworthy of the American system which supports freedom not biased reviews.

And I second that..... :)

This is now making the rounds of emails. Good. We Christians need to continue to hope God will be Gracious and Grant Mercy, not the "change" we deserve as a nation for killing innocent babies in our Land.

Wow, RD2, I just noticed there have been over 11,000 hits on this thread alone. I think that must be some sort of record for the BB. That means that maybe this thread is generating a lot of hope and prayer for mercy from our Merciful God!

May we all go into the voting booth humbly before God.

So Palin can be Esther but when Obama is termed the symbol of the coming of the Messiah it's an abomination before God...

Hypocrites will be running on that great day. Who shall be able to stand?

People who study the Scriptures note a BIG difference - Esther was used by God and never claimed to BE God. Nor did anyone make reference to her being God.

Another difference: The messenger to Sarah was an unknown pastor who had nothing to gain from it and it was private. Louis Farrakhan was preaching his political message about Obama being the messiah before a large throng of his radical followers.

People who are reading this thread will decide for themselves. And God will sort out the hypocrites.
