I certainly would not ask someone to pray WITH me if I felt there was lack of agreement.
If I read my Bible correctly... there are two things which must exist when asking another to pray with you.... You are both agreed on the God in whose name you pray.... and you're both agreed regarding the need or purpose of the prayer and have the faith believing God will answer.
Asking for prayer is different than just up an praying for someone. One may pray for any person, sinner or saint: But one does not ask just anyone to pray with them. There is a difference which seems to escape some of the posters on this board.
Of course if we all grew in the Lord at the same rate and came to the same conclusions through our experiences of faith and study in the Word...... I suppose some might consider it pretty boring.
Regarding Palin and agreement with campaign staff:
Some of the questions she was asked during the campaign..... like magazines read or Supreme Court decisions.... were not typical kinds of questions normally asked of most politicians. They were the kind of social and gossipy type of points which someone mentoring or following another closely might pick up on and turn into issues or ridicule in a later and more vunerable setting. This is what I think happened to her: This would give her reason to suspect that all who presented themselves as being part of her team were not really on her team. I think she was marginallized by those who were with her in the campaign. If she really was McCain's choice, then those on his team should have embraced her with all the dignity and desire for her success as they did him. As part of that, insider jokes and information and trivial talk should have been kept inside their circle and not leaked to those outside.
As it is....... her experience and the questionable loyalty of those within the campaign circle..... serves as an example to discourage others who might identify and desire to run for office.
