"A pastor has apologized to a woman who said she was shamed for breastfeeding inside her church....Amy Marchant, 29, of Brighton said she asked for a public apology after she was accused of immodesty and potentially inspiring 'lustfulness' in men for nursing her child....Nothing was said to her at church. Yes, but also young enough to still be breastfed. It's up to the mother not you when she stops.

Neither the pastor nor the church did anything to apologize for.

The woman was making unreasonable demands, illustrating to me that she like to be the center of attention. Perhaps that's the reason she exposed herself unnecessarily.

Here's a bit of advice that's easy to take: if a breastfeeding mother is putting you off your food/pastor's latest sermon/ your marriage vows (because you're a weirdo)/ your favourite football game, then don't darn well look

I am puzzled and dismayed that those who should be and claim to be pro-life* nevertheless are bent on making life yet more difficult for mothers and their children: a mother's lot in life is hard enough as it is without some moralising interfering busybody launching a Crusade Against the Exposure of the Female Feeding Nipple
