We often see discussions between those who want Christians to focus on witnessing to individuals, and not try to shape our culture and governing principles along Christian lines. Some rail against the "Social Gospel."
The believing founders of our country thought all men, but perhaps chiefly white landowners, were created equal, with the God given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Bible teaches it is better to be free than slave. Thus, we should influence others by persuasion rather than compulsion. And a corollary to that is separation of church and state, so the law is not weaponized to compel adherence to the theological views of those holding the power of government.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether this nation can endure in the face of wholesale seditious activity by trained Marxists, claiming to be seeking the welfare of the downtrodden, while lining their own pockets by insider trading, think Pelosi, pay for play influence schemes such as the Biden crime family, whole fraud in child care funding, and so on and so forth.
They demonize law officers, and falsely portray lawbreakers as law abiding protesters. They claim an officer being hit by a vehicle should not fire his gun in defense of himself or others.
God is reconciling humanity, one sinner at a time, by transferring the individual into Christ spiritually. But in order to facilitate an environment where people are more free to witness, to plant, and to water, some believers think we should seek governance according to the Law of Liberty.
The human race populates our planet, and various classifications exist, such as male and female, Jew and Gentile, white or black or brown or yellow. However, the Bible only makes two classifications, believers saved by God, and non-believers not or not yet saved by God. The path of religious liberty, with our citizens able to believe the doctrines of their choice, is the path America should be on. Citizens should NOT be compelled to pay for gender affirming care (physical mutilation) or abortion (infanticide). Women should not be compelled to undress in front of males claiming to be women.
