Baloney!!!
I don't know about Hinn being a Roman Catholic, but I think it is funny when you say "before he got saved". I am not to judge, but with all of the false doctrine he preaches---well, you will know them by their fruit and knocking people on the ground is NOT fruit.Originally posted by Ray Berrian:
I would have thought some of you ministers would have read in the Bible about other men of God falling out 'under the power of the Holy Spirit,' or as some use the term, 'slain in the Spirit.'
Read Acts 9:4 & Revelation 1:17a are the two that I am reminded of--off the top of my head.
Those who condemn the work of the Holy Spirit are on very dangerous ground. We are warned against 'grieving the Holy Spirit or quenching the Spirit of God.'
And the Jesuit spin is about the most absurd thing I have ever read. Rev. Hinn was Jewish by nationality before he got saved. Your mind is overworking . . . . Now you want us to believe that the Roman Catholich Church has planted him within Protestantism. Wow!! And maybe Ben Laden is an Russian Orthodox priest. You probably will buy this too!
What does prophecy have to do with being a leader in the church in neither grants nor denies leadership authority.Originally posted by Ray Berrian:
Problem.
Joel 2:28 has something to say about women of God. And since some will not take time to look it up I will place it before you.
'And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and DAUGHTERS shall prophecy . .

The gift on tongues in the N.T. was spoken in the congregation with an 'interpretation of tongues' by another person in the assembly.
Then there is a different kind of tongues that is used just for personal adoration of the Lord.
What does that mean???
Tongues has nothing to do with understanding a foreign language; this is way off the mark.
These utterances were always heard in the language of someone present.
Being touched by the Spirit of God is more of a blessing than what people normally think of as a gift from God. When we become intimate with Him; He comes closer to us.
I don't know what you mean here, and I don't see it's relationship to this issue.
I like 'Full Gospel' also, even tho i'm not one.Originally posted by tamborine lady:
I also do not like the label pentacostal simply be cause people think of certain denoms when they hear the word.
I prefer Full Gospel.
